The King's motivation partially depends on him seeing Vaugarde as a second home of sorts, but I also think about the few implications that Vaugardians potentially alienate people who came from other countries.
It's certainly less emphasized than the idea of Vaugarde being welcoming, but it is there between Siffrin being bothered that them standing out is something that has been pointed out regularly in the past, and the King being pointed out to be from outside Vaugarde, despite having lived in the country for years.
What would their reaction to loops identity if it was revealed and do you have a comic planned for it?
Probably a lot of sympathy and horror from everyone. Knowing that their friend was suffering so long all alone and none of them ever realized...and didn't realize even after they started looping themselves.
I think Mirabelle and Isabeau would probably feel really bad for not realizing who loop was right away--how could they not recognize siffrin?? Did they ever know them at all if they couldnt recognize him after he changed?
I think odile would also feel guilty about this but would not show it. I also specifically think she'd feel guilty about her past self not realizing what was going on with siffrin back when they were looping. It should be her job as the eldest to figure these things out.
Bonnie would be very confused about the whole thing, given that the time loop alone is hard for them to understand. But they get that there are two frins, which is weird but cool they guess. They might also feel weird about glowy frin getting their eye back? How did that happen? Can they give normal frin their eye back too?
Whether or not they'd figure it out in the first place though...sure, all of them are really smart and observant, but "the star creature guiding us is actually our friend from another timeline who was trapped in a time loop for years until they ate a star and turned into a star being and we all started looping instead" is not the easiest thing to figure out.
I do think they'd get as far as "loop was probably a person once and was originally from the same place as Siffrin". But not necessarily any further as they'd have to make a lot of guesses to get there when the simpler answer is just that they got a guide from the universe made to help them. Mortons fork and all that.
And I think loop would be doing a lot more to hide their identity. No letting things slip about themself or their past, no probing questions on who they might be... They don't want to know. Don't want to know what their family really thinks of them now.
Regardless of whether everyone finds out loop's identity or not, I think they would invite loop to travel with them. Assuming they get the chance.
But those are just my ideas from the time I've spent thinking on this. This isn't a rigorously planned au so much as it is just exploring loops feelings about if this happened. If anyone wants to come up with something more, feel free!!! C:
Thoughts on In Stars in Time, but its possessed by White Face from imscard? Pretty sure they'd treat both Sif and the player as separate people and makes sure Siffrin doesn't reach Act 6, but what about you? Would love to see a comic about it, if possible.

Hello, insantly love your Party Looping with Loop AU, and I wanted to ask what was their first reaction to looping?
Also, Loop's reaction to everyone else looping?
I think everyone else's first reaction to looping was probably "wha-what---wait, SIFFRIN!!!" on account of them all witnessing him being crushed by boulder. And then promptly running to the field to check on a very confused Siffrin.
Loop I'd imagine assumed initially that obviously this other Siffrin would be looping and therefore not do anything for the first loop as in canon.
After that, they'd be very torn between not wanting the others to see them as they are now vs wanting to do whatever they can to make sure none of the others end up suffering too much.
Unfortunately, their knowledge of how to get through the house and fight the king is limited to what they're familiar with, so something they give bad advice. Like "the king has this really strong attack but he won't use it right away so long as you don't look too confident. So focus on buffs and debuffs at the start of the fight." Or "you should be able to get through the third floor without any backtracking. Look for torches"
They feel much worse about any harm coming to the party but don't really care what happens to non-looping siffrin outside of how it affects the party emotionally. So they begrudgingly have to protect him as well to keep from scarring the party.
They're also seconds away from a full mental breakdown at any given moment but are holding it together when the party is around. They've got a lot of practice with that after all.
I've got a couple more comics that fill in some of the gaps here, but this is far from the only party looping au, (check out Mari-lair's "sif is out au") I'm just mostly interested in exploring Loop's feelings around this in a fairly general "party loops" au setting. C: thanks for asking!!!
