Once upon a time, getting pebbles of off the shore and shipping it out to where it was needed, were the main source of income for the locals around here, and this strange looking 'tube' were part of a former 'factory' used for just that. Abandoned mine shaft we stumbled upon on a hike in Norway, unfortunately we couldn't get in very far, only approx 20m. The river were used to get lumber down to the sea, however as a nearby hydropower Plant were build on this location, they needed to be creative as to how to get the lumber past.
