More Well-being
Fewer falls and less wandering – more support for caregiver well-being
EMFIT CARE™ combines intelligent technology and care, which reduces falls and wandering. We provide caregivers with a tool that alleviates the burden of care work, improves its quality, and increases residents’ safety.
How does Emfit Care™ work?
The Emfit Care™ sensor is installed under the mattress. It operates by transmitting real-time data based on heart and body movement analysis via WiFi or mobile data networks to our servers in Finland, where push notifications are sent directly to caregivers.
Technology designed to assist.
How Emfit Care can support the daily life of nursing homes
Reducing falls and wandering
Preventing falls and wandering in elderly care is essential. These risks can be mitigated with technology that monitors residents’ activity and alerts caregivers when unusual behavior is detected. This improves the safety of residents and eases the workload of caregivers by enabling quick responses to situations.
Supporting Good Sleep and Comfort
Monitoring turning movements provides valuable insights into sleep movements and overall comfort. By understanding these movement patterns, informed decisions can be made regarding position changes or the use of different sleep solutions, supporting restful sleep and overall well-being.
Personalized Support Through Sleep Cycle Analysis
Regularity in sleep and the analysis of sleep-wake cycles improve elderly care by providing insights into sleep patterns.
The technology assists caregivers in planning individualized actions, promoting better sleep, functionality, and quality of life for achieving healthy aging.
Enhancing caregiving with technology
Emfit Care™ – Notifications and real-time insights

- When a resident has gotten out of bed
- If a resident does not return to bed within the set time
- If a resident has not turned or has not been turned within the specified time frame

- Updated order: Those who have been active the longest are shown first, and those who returned to bed most recently are shown last
Reducing staff workload and costs
Cost savings for nursing homes and hospital wards
Emfit Care brings cost savings by improving monitoring efficiency and enhancing resident safety. The system tracks residents’ status in bed and movement in real-time, alerting caregivers about anomalies such as restlessness, getting out of bed, potential falls, or wandering. This helps reduce staff workload and prevent resident incidents while significantly saving on caregiving costs.
Easy integration with nurse call systems
Today, Android phones offer a powerful platform enabling smooth integration with nurse call systems. The Emfit Care™ app is easily installed on Android phones and delivers push notifications to caregivers in real-time. Notifications are received as vibrations, sounds, and are also visible on the lock screen.
Emfit Care™ can also be connected to the facility’s traditional and local nurse call systems via a fixed wired interface.
