NOVA: “Ifrit789 said he ‘really liked when Mikoto showed her power in the broadcast.’ Called it ‘great character development.'”

MIKOTO: “Oh! When I refused to say who my dream was about?”

NOVA: “Exactly. He said, and I quote, ‘The butt of all jokes will grab someone else’s butt in no time.'”

HIME: “It was unexpected.”

MIKOTO: “You sound almost bothered by it.”

HIME: “Not bothered. Surprised.”

MIKOTO: “Because I usually cave?”

HIME: “Because you ALWAYS cave. Tonight you didn’t.”

NOVA: “What changed, Mikoto?”

MIKOTO: “Honestly? Watching Hime do it first. She deflected about her romantic feelings so smoothly and kept her secret without even breaking composure. And I thought… why can’t I do that too?”

HIME: “So I taught you by example.”

MIKOTO: “Accidentally. But yes.”

HIME: “…”

MIKOTO: “You went quiet. What are you thinking?”

HIME: “I’m… processing.”

MIKOTO: “Processing what?”

NOVA: “Interesting how?”

HIME: “I’ve spent years being the composed one. The one who watches while Mikoto reacts. The one who maintains control while she loses hers.”

MIKOTO: “And tonight I pushed back.”

HIME: “You did. Successfully.”

MIKOTO: “Does that bother you?”

A pause.

HIME: “It should, shouldn’t it? You resisting me should feel like losing something.”

NOVA: “But it doesn’t?”

HIME: “Watching you find your spine was… appealing. In its own way.”

MIKOTO: “Appealing?”

HIME: “You standing firm. Refusing to bend. That’s a side of you I rarely see.”

NOVA: “Almost sounds like you enjoyed being challenged.”

HIME: “Perhaps watching Mikoto take control, even when she was taking it FROM me, was more interesting than her usual compliance.”

MIKOTO: “So you LIKE it when I resist you?”

HIME: “I said it was interesting. Not that I prefer it.”

NOVA: “But you don’t NOT prefer it.”

HIME: “You’re both reading too much into this.”

HIME: “That’s a significant leap in logic.”

MIKOTO: “Is it? Earlier you said you fantasize about being at someone’s mercy. About losing control. Maybe what you actually want is someone willing to TAKE that control.”

HIME: “…”

MIKOTO: “Maybe I should push back more often. See what happens.”

HIME: “One moment of resistance doesn’t change the overall dynamic.”

MIKOTO: “Doesn’t it?”

HIME: “…Let’s move on.”

MIKOTO: “Running away?”

HIME: “Strategic redirection.”

MIKOTO: “Sure it is.”

NOVA: “I’m taking very detailed notes right now. Just so you both know.”

HIME: “Of course you are.”

NOVA: “DreamDeviant asked a lighter question: favorite animals. And whether you have any pets.”

HIME: “I wasn’t uncomfortable.”

MIKOTO: “You were squirming.”

HIME: “I don’t squirm.”

MIKOTO: “You were squirming INTERNALLY. I could tell.”

MIKOTO: “But if we COULD…”

NOVA: “That… tracks.”

MIKOTO: “What’s that supposed to mean?”

NOVA: “Chaotic. Energetic. Constantly causing accidents. Getting into places they shouldn’t. You’d be kindred spirits.”

MIKOTO: “I choose to take that as a compliment!”

HIME: “Ferrets are also escape artists. They find ways out of any enclosure.”

MIKOTO: “Like me escaping my clothes!”

HIME: “…Yes. Exactly like that.”

NOVA: “What about you, Hime?”

HIME: “Hamsters.”

MIKOTO: “Really? Hamsters?”

MIKOTO: “That’s… unexpectedly adorable reasoning from you.”

HIME: “I’m allowed to find things cute.”

MIKOTO: “I know! It’s just that you’re usually so composed about everything. Hearing you describe hamster cheeks as ‘squishy’ is…”

NOVA: “Humanizing?”

MIKOTO: “Yeah. That.”

HIME: “I contain multitudes.”

MIKOTO: “Apparently one of those multitudes really likes tiny rodents.”

NOVA: “I can see that. A hamster on a wheel, going nowhere but fully committed to the journey. There’s something philosophical about it.”

MIKOTO: “You would find philosophy in a hamster wheel.”

NOVA: “Everything is material.”

Nudist Zones and Clothing Laws

NOVA: “Kominex asked about nudist zones in Iwara City. Beaches, hot springs, signs with underwear prohibition marks…”

MIKOTO: “Oh, this is actually useful information for visitors!”

MIKOTO: “The Iwara Corp production studios, obviously. You can’t make adult content if you can’t be naked.”

HIME: “The public bath house. The hot springs resort. And certain sections of the beach have clothing-optional areas.”

NOVA: “So not everywhere?”

HIME: “No. Outside those designated zones, there ARE standards.”

MIKOTO: “Very LOOSE standards, but standards.”

HIME: “Which is why outfits that would cause arrests elsewhere are perfectly acceptable here.”

NOVA: “Like Stella’s usual attire?”

MIKOTO: “Exactly! She wears star-shaped pasties and a bikini bottom under open clothes. Technically legal everywhere in the city.”

HIME: “The threshold is minimal coverage. A thong counts. Pasties count. Anything beyond that is personal choice.”

NOVA: “So Mikoto’s frequent wardrobe malfunctions…”

MIKOTO: “Are embarrassing but not illegal! As long as I fix them quickly enough.”

HIME: “She has become very fast at emergency coverage.”

MIKOTO: “Practice makes perfect! I always carry spare tube tops now.”

NOVA: “What about the designated zones? Any rules there?”

NOVA: “This is genuinely useful worldbuilding for my notes.”

HIME: “The acceptance makes life considerably easier for someone with Mikoto’s… relationship with clothing.”

MIKOTO: “Rude but accurate.”

NOVA: “Speaking of content and production, we should ask the audience something.”

MIKOTO: “What kind of something?”

NOVA: “A lot of viewers are content creators themselves. This broadcast has been mostly about us talking, but there’s potential for more.”

HIME: “What are you proposing?”

NOVA: “Viewer video submissions. People can send links to their work, and in a future segment, you two could provide commentary.”

MIKOTO: “Like a reaction show?”

NOVA: “Exactly. You watch clips, give your thoughts, maybe offer feedback or just enjoy the content together.”

HIME: “It would also give us material when conversation topics run low.”

NOVA: “And it engages the community. People like having their work acknowledged.”

HIME: “How would submissions work?”

NOVA: “Viewers can drop links in the comments. You select which ones to feature based on… whatever criteria you choose.”

MIKOTO: “Quality? Entertainment value? How much it makes us blush?”

HIME: “All valid metrics.”

MIKOTO: “It can be anything! Animation, videos, whatever you’re proud of!”

NOVA: “Within reason.”

MIKOTO: “Right, yes. Nothing that would get us in trouble.”

HIME: “We’ll compile submissions and potentially dedicate a segment to reactions. Consider it an open invitation.”

Section 5: Calling Stella?

NOVA: “On the topic of other people, Ferson asked about Stella earlier.”

MIKOTO: “We talked about her a bit! The sales thing, the sunglasses…”

HIME: “Surface level information. The audience wants more.”

NOVA: “Is she available? Could she call in?”

HIME: “During a power outage? She might be… occupied.”

MIKOTO: “Or she might be bored out of her mind looking for entertainment. You know how she gets when she doesn’t have stimulation.”

NOVA: “What happens?”

MIKOTO: “She finds stimulation. One way or another.”

MIKOTO: “What do you mean?”

HIME: “Stella is… a lot. She’d take over the conversation. Probably try to make everything about seduction or sales tactics.”

MIKOTO: “That’s true. She doesn’t really have an ‘off’ switch.”

NOVA: “Would that be bad for the broadcast?”

HIME: “It would be different. More chaotic. Less controlled.”

MIKOTO: “Since when do you care about chaos? I thought you liked observing unexpected developments.”

HIME: “I like observing YOUR unexpected developments. Stella’s are… more predictable in their unpredictability.”

MIKOTO: “There IS one issue though.”

NOVA: “What’s that?”

HIME: “Which means Nova would have to disconnect.”

NOVA: “Oh.”

MIKOTO: “And if you disconnect…”

NOVA: “…I go fulfill my obligation to the shop owner.”

HIME: “The nude modeling session.”

NOVA: “Yes. That.”

MIKOTO: “How do you feel about that, Nova?”

NOVA: “Terrified? Anxious? Morbidly curious about my own reactions?”

HIME: “Sounds like research.”

NOVA: “Everything is research. Doesn’t make it less nerve-wracking.”

MIKOTO: “We don’t HAVE to call Stella. We could just keep going with the three of us.”

NOVA: “No, I… the broadcast should keep evolving. If Stella would add something interesting, you should pursue that.”

HIME: “You’re sacrificing yourself for content?”

NOVA: “I’m… accepting the inevitable. I can’t hide behind this generator forever. Eventually I have to face the artist with the nice eyes and the ‘fascinating bone structure’ comments.”

MIKOTO: “You said ‘nice eyes’ again!”

NOVA: “I’M AWARE.”

HIME: “You should probably examine why you keep mentioning that.”

NOVA: “I am examining it. Extensively. While trying not to panic.”

MIKOTO: “Do you want us to call Stella? Really?”

NOVA: “Let me mentally prepare. Then I’ll sign off if the audience wants it and you can try reaching her.”

HIME: “Take your time. This isn’t a decision to rush.”

NOVA: “Says the woman who’s been rushing me toward embarrassment all night.”

HIME: “That’s different. That’s entertainment.”

NOVA: “YOUR entertainment.”

HIME: “The audience’s entertainment. There’s a distinction.”

The Kiss Question

NOVA: “There is one more question I wanted to address. From DreamDeviant.”

MIKOTO: “Which one?”

NOVA: “They asked… would a kiss between Hime and Mikoto be too much? ‘Just something sweet and intimate between the lovely sisters.'”

MIKOTO: “A kiss?”

HIME: “That’s what they asked.”

MIKOTO: “Between us?”

NOVA: “That’s generally what ‘between Hime and Mikoto’ implies, yes.”

MIKOTO: “I… that’s…”

HIME: “Is it too much?”

MIKOTO: “What?”

HIME: “The question was whether it would be too much. I’m asking your opinion.”

MIKOTO: “I don’t—we’ve never—that’s not something we—”

NOVA: “You’re spiraling.”

MIKOTO: “Of course I’m spiraling! You’re all acting like this is a normal question!”

HIME: “It’s not an abnormal question given the content of this broadcast.”

MIKOTO: “Hime.”

MIKOTO: “But those were—that’s different—kissing is…”

HIME: “Intimate?”

MIKOTO: “YES.”

HIME: “More intimate than the other things we’ve admitted to?”

MIKOTO: “In some ways! Kissing is… it’s emotional. It’s not just physical. It means something.”

HIME: “So your objection isn’t to the act itself. It’s to what it would represent.”

MIKOTO: “I… I don’t know what my objection is. I just know I’m not ready to answer that question.”

NOVA: “That’s a valid response.”

MIKOTO: “Is it? Because I feel like I’m failing some kind of test.”

HIME: “There’s no test. It was a question. ‘Would it be too much?’ Your answer, apparently, is ‘I don’t know.'”

MIKOTO: “My answer is ‘I don’t know RIGHT NOW.’ Maybe… maybe I’d feel differently in a different context. Not on a broadcast. Not being watched by millions of people.”

HIME: “Noted.”

MIKOTO: “What does ‘noted’ mean?!”

MIKOTO: “That’s ominous.”

HIME: “It’s practical.”

NOVA: “For what it’s worth, I think Mikoto’s uncertainty is genuine. She’s not saying no, she’s saying she hasn’t processed the possibility enough to have an answer.”

MIKOTO: “Thank you, Nova. At least SOMEONE understands.”

HIME: “I understand perfectly. You need time. That’s acceptable.”

MIKOTO: “Stop saying reasonable things in that calm voice. It’s unnerving.”

HIME: “Would you prefer I pressure you?”

MIKOTO: “NO.”

HIME: “Then accept the patience.”

MIKOTO: “Let’s move on please!”

HIME: “Fine.”
