9. TRUTHS REVEALED, TOP REMOVED, AND A NEW VOICE

    The Moment of Truth

HIME: “Welcome back. It’s time to reveal the answers to our game.”

MIKOTO: “I’m nervous. And I didn’t even have stakes!”

NOVA: “I’m nervous too, and my stakes were theoretical. Hime’s the one who should be nervous.”

    HIME: “I’m perfectly calm.”

MIKOTO: “You’re ALWAYS perfectly calm. That’s what’s unnerving about you.”

HIME: “Let’s start with the tallies. The audience has spoken.”

HIME: “For my statements, the guesses were heavily concentrated towards number three.”

NOVA: “And what was your lie, Hime?”

    A pause.

HIME: “Number three. ‘I’ve been attracted to someone specifically because they were already in a relationship.'”

MIKOTO: “So it IS the lie?”

HIME: “I don’t care about relationship status. Whether someone is taken or single doesn’t factor into my attraction at all. The other statements were true.”

NOVA: “Including the one about thinking about someone’s hands for a week?”

HIME: “Hands can be very distracting when used well.”

MIKOTO: “And the one about touching yourself while someone was asleep in the next room?”

    HIME: “Also true.”

    MIKOTO: “HIME!”

HIME: “We’ve discussed this. You’re not the only person who’s ever slept near me.”

MIKOTO: “But I’m the one who sleeps near you… you know what, I’m not going down this rabbit hole again.”

NOVA: “So the audience won. Decisively. You know what that means.”

HIME: “I’m aware of the terms I agreed to.”

MIKOTO: “You’re really going to do it? Take your top off for the whole segment?”

HIME: “I made the bet. The audience called it correctly. A deal is a deal.”

She reaches for the hem of her top.

MIKOTO: “Wait wait wait, shouldn’t we at least do a countdown or something?! Give people warning?!”

HIME: “Why? They voted for this. They should be ready.”

NOVA: “She has a point. The anticipation is part of it.”

MIKOTO: “I can’t believe you’re both being so casual about this!”

Without further ceremony, Hime pulls her top over her head and sets it aside.

    HIME: “There. Stakes fulfilled.”

MIKOTO: “You’re just… standing there. Topless. Like it’s nothing.”

HIME: “It IS nothing. It’s just skin.”

NOVA: “How does it feel? Being the only one exposed?”

    HIME: “…Interesting.”

    MIKOTO: “Interesting HOW?”

HIME: “Being watched. Knowing people are looking. It’s different from before.”

NOVA: “Different good or different bad?”

HIME: “Just… different. I can see why you get flustered, Mikoto. There’s a vulnerability to it.”

    MIKOTO: “Are you ENJOYING this?!”

    HIME: “I didn’t say that.”

MIKOTO: “You didn’t NOT say it either!”

HIME: “Let’s move on to Mikoto’s results before this becomes about me.”

    Mikoto’s Reveal

HIME: “For Mikoto’s statements, the audience overwhelmingly guessed number three: ‘I’ve never thought about a friend in a romantic way.'”

    NOVA: “And? Were they right?”

MIKOTO: “They were not. Number three was true.”

NOVA: “You’ve NEVER thought about a friend romantically? With all the close friendships you have?”

MIKOTO: “I separate those things! Friends are friends! If I’m going to think about someone THAT way, it’s someone I’m actually pursuing, not someone in my friend group!”

    HIME: “Interesting distinction.”

MIKOTO: “It’s not that weird! Some people are just better at keeping categories separate!”

NOVA: “So what WAS your lie?”

MIKOTO: “Number one. ‘I’ve had a crush on someone I’ve never actually spoken to, I just admired them from a distance.’ That’s not how I work. I don’t develop feelings for people I haven’t interacted with. I need to actually KNOW someone before I start thinking about them that way.”

HIME: “So the other statements are true. You’ve stared at someone during a meeting and lost track of what was being discussed. You’ve called someone the wrong name because you were thinking about your crush.”

MIKOTO: “Yes. Both of those. Embarrassingly true.”

NOVA: “Who was the wrong name incident about?”

MIKOTO: “I’m not telling you that!”

HIME: “Was it the same person from your wet dream?”

    MIKOTO: “HIME!”

    HIME: “Valid question.”

MIKOTO: “I’m not answering! The audience guessed wrong, so there are no consequences, and I’m keeping my secrets!”

HIME: “I’ll take that as a yes.”

Mikoto looks away and remains silent.

    Nova’s Turn

NOVA: “My turn. What did the audience guess for me?”

HIME: “Also heavily concentrated on one answer. Most guessed number four: ‘I’ve never been attracted to someone significantly older than me.'”

    MIKOTO: “And?”

    HIME: “Were they correct?”

    A pause.

NOVA: “…Yes. That was my lie.”

MIKOTO: “So you HAVE been attracted to someone significantly older!”

NOVA: “Age differences don’t matter to me. What matters is how I feel in someone’s presence. Their energy. Their competence. Their…”

    HIME: “Eyes?”

NOVA: “I KNEW you were going to say that!”

MIKOTO: “The shop owner! She’s older than you, isn’t she?”

    NOVA: “I’m not—this isn’t about—the question was hypothetical! I was speaking generally!”

HIME: “You keep mentioning her eyes. Multiple times now.”

NOVA: “Because they’re OBJECTIVELY nice! That’s not the same as…”

    MIKOTO: “Nova has a crush~”

NOVA: “I DO NOT have a crush! I’m about to pose NAKED for this woman for HOURS! If I had a crush, that would make it SO MUCH WORSE!”

HIME: “Would it? Or would it make it more interesting?”

    NOVA: “STOP!”

MIKOTO: “She’s going to be staring at you. All of you. For hours. And you think she has nice eyes.”

NOVA: “I regret every word I’ve said tonight.”

    The Departure

HIME: “Speaking of the shop owner… the audience has made their decision about the Nova versus Stella question.”

NOVA: “…They want Stella, don’t they.”

HIME: “The consensus has shifted. Multiple commenters are ready to meet Stella. And Nova…”

NOVA: “I know. I know. The modeling session awaits.”

MIKOTO: “You don’t HAVE to go right now. We could stall a little longer!”

NOVA: “No. If I keep putting it off, I’ll never do it. And besides…” With a shaky breath. “The artist has been very patient. She’s been waiting this whole time. It would be rude to delay further.”

    HIME: “How are you feeling?”

NOVA: “Terrified. Curious. A little nauseous.”

    MIKOTO: “Curiosity is good!”

NOVA: “The nausea is less good.”

HIME: “You’ll be fine. You’re a researcher. Think of it as research.”

NOVA: “Research into my own psychological response to prolonged nude observation. I can work with that framing.”

MIKOTO: “Take notes! Mental notes, obviously, since you’ll be… occupied.”

NOVA: “I’ll remember everything. That’s what I do.”

HIME: “Before you go, thank you for being part of this. Your presence added something valuable.”

    NOVA: “It did?”

MIKOTO: “Of course! You asked good questions! You noticed things we missed! You made me feel less alone in being the flustered one!”

NOVA: “I was significantly more flustered than I let on.”

HIME: “We know. That was part of the charm.”

NOVA: “I should go. Before I lose my nerve entirely.”

MIKOTO: “Good luck, Nova! With the modeling! And the shop owner! And her nice eyes!”

NOVA: “Please stop mentioning the eyes.”

HIME: “We’ll want a full report. Eventually.”

NOVA: “If I survive the experience with my dignity intact, I’ll consider it.”

    MIKOTO: “Bye Nova~!”

NOVA: “Goodbye, audience. I hope you enjoyed watching me spiral into panic for several hours. I’m sure the actual experience will be much worse.”

The line clicks. Nova is gone.

MIKOTO: “…I kind of miss her already.”

HIME: “She’ll be fine. The shop owner seemed professional.”

MIKOTO: “Professional AND attractive, apparently. With nice eyes.”

HIME: “Nova will have an interesting evening.”

    Calling Stella

MIKOTO: “So! Time to call Stella?”

HIME: “Assuming she answers. During a blackout, she could be anywhere doing anything.”

Hime picks up the phone and dials.

    MIKOTO: “Or anyone.”

    HIME: “That too.”

MIKOTO: “This feels weird. You making a phone call without a shirt on.”

HIME: “It’s just a phone call.”

MIKOTO: “While your boobs are out!”

HIME: “The person on the other end can’t see me. Only the broadcast audience can.”

MIKOTO: “That somehow makes it weirder!”

The phone rings. Once. Twice. Three times.

    STELLA: “Hellooo~?”

Her voice comes through the speaker. Bright, musical, unmistakably Stella.

    MIKOTO: “Stella! You answered!”

STELLA: “Of COURSE I answered! I’ve been SO BORED! The power’s out, there’s nothing to do, and I can’t even find anyone to—” She stops. “Wait. Mikoto? Is that you?”

HIME: “It’s both of us. You’re on speaker. And on the broadcast.”

STELLA: “The BROADCAST?! You mean the emergency thing that’s apparently the only entertainment in the entire city right now?!”

    MIKOTO: “That’s the one!”

STELLA: “I’ve been trying to watch it but my connection keeps cutting out! I’ve only caught pieces! Something about malfunctions and games and… wait, am I ON it now?!”

HIME: “You are. We thought the audience might like to meet you properly.”

STELLA: “Oh this is PERFECT! I’ve been dying for an audience! What do you want me to do? Should I describe myself? Should I tell stories? Should I—”

MIKOTO: “Maybe start with an introduction? A lot of people don’t know who you are.”

STELLA: “An introduction! Yes! Give me a moment to get into character.”

HIME: “You don’t need a character. Just be yourself.”

STELLA: “Darling, ‘myself’ IS a character. But fine! Hello, everyone~! I’m Stella! Chief Executive Sales Team Lead at Iwara Corp! I’m the one who closes the big deals, brings in the premium clients, and looks absolutely STUNNING while doing it!”

MIKOTO: “She’s not exaggerating about that last part.”

STELLA: “I know my strengths! Speaking of which, what’s the vibe of this broadcast? I’ve only caught snippets. Are we being wholesome? Flirty? Chaotic?”

HIME: “All of the above, depending on the moment.”

STELLA: “PERFECT. I can do all of the above. Usually simultaneously.”

MIKOTO: “Before we get too far, we should mention that Hime is currently topless.”

    STELLA: “She’s WHAT?!”

HIME: “I lost a bet with the audience. Three Truths and a Lie. They correctly guessed my lie, so I’m shirtless for this entire segment.”

STELLA: “Oh this broadcast is MUCH more interesting than I thought! Hime showing off the goods! I never would have guessed you’d be the exhibitionist sister!”

    HIME: “I’m honoring a commitment. There’s a difference.”

    STELLA: “Sure there is, sweetie~”

MIKOTO: “We just said goodbye to Nova. She was our phone guest for most of the night.”

STELLA: “I caught some of her segments! The writer girl, right? She asked me SO many questions about my sales techniques once. Very thorough. Very intense eye contact. I liked her.”

HIME: “She left to fulfill her modeling commitment.”

STELLA: “The nude modeling thing! For the shop owner with the ‘nice eyes!’ I heard her panicking about it earlier. My connection cut out right when things were getting good, but I caught enough to know she was SPIRALING.”

MIKOTO: “She was very nervous about it.”

STELLA: “Of course she was! Our little wallflower, being stared at for hours instead of doing the staring? That’s her nightmare AND her research opportunity all in one! She’ll either come out of it traumatized or enlightened. Possibly both.”

HIME: “So. Stella. The audience has been curious about you. We’ve mentioned you a few times throughout the broadcast, but now they can hear from you directly.”

STELLA: “Ask me anything! I’m an open book! A very detailed, illustrated, adults-only open book!”

MIKOTO: “We could start with the basics? Tell them about yourself?”

STELLA: “Basics! Right! So, I work in sales. Premium client acquisition, specifically. I bring in the big accounts through a combination of charm, negotiation, and…” She pauses. “Let’s call it ‘aggressive hospitality.'”

HIME: “That’s one way to describe it.”

STELLA: “I dress to impress, and by ‘impress’ I mean ‘barely legal in most jurisdictions.’ My signature look involves a tied-open shirt, star-shaped pasties, and an attitude that says ‘I know exactly how good I look.'”

MIKOTO: “She also has special sunglasses!”

STELLA: “My sunglasses! Yes! They were a gift from Boss himself. I treasure them. I wear them everywhere.”

    HIME: “They’re very distinctive.”

STELLA: “He gave them to me and I swore I’d never take them off. Well, I keep them on top of my head mostly. They’re more of an accessory than actual sun protection. But they mean a LOT to me.”

MIKOTO: “She doesn’t know what they do.”

    STELLA: “What?”

    HIME: “Nothing. Inside joke.”

STELLA: “You two are weird. Anyway! What else do you want to know? My measurements? My sales record? My current relationship status?”

    MIKOTO: “All of the above?”

STELLA: “Measurements: fantastic. Sales record: impeccable. Relationship status: complicated but optimistic!”

    HIME: “Complicated how?”

STELLA: “There’s someone I’m interested in. VERY interested in. He’s… elusive. Hard to pin down. But I’m patient! I’m persistent! And I ALWAYS get what I want eventually!”

MIKOTO: “Everyone knows who she’s talking about.”

STELLA: “Do they? Good! Then they know I don’t give up easily!”

HIME: “The broadcast has been running for hours now. We’ve covered a lot of ground: games, revelations, personal confessions. Now that you’re here, what do you want to add to the conversation?”

STELLA: “Hmm. Well, I noticed from the fragments I caught that things got pretty intimate between you two. Discussions about fantasies. Hime’s whole domination confession. That VERY interesting dynamic shift when Mikoto started pushing back.”

    MIKOTO: “You caught that?!”

STELLA: “Like I said, fragments. But very INTERESTING fragments.”

HIME: “The audience enjoyed watching us negotiate those moments.”

STELLA: “I bet they did! You know what I think this broadcast needs? More explicit energy. You’ve been dancing around things all night. Hinting. Suggesting. Getting close but not quite there.”

    MIKOTO: “We’ve been plenty explicit!”

STELLA: “Have you? Because from what I heard, Hime still hasn’t admitted who her romantic feelings are about. Mikoto still hasn’t named her wet dream crush. And everyone’s been very careful not to cross certain lines.”

HIME: “Some lines exist for reasons.”

STELLA: “Sure they do. But isn’t the whole point of an emergency broadcast that normal rules don’t apply? The power’s out. The city’s in chaos. Why not embrace a little chaos yourselves?”

MIKOTO: “What exactly are you suggesting?”

STELLA: “I’m suggesting we stop tiptoeing! Ask the real questions! Give the real answers! If Hime’s going to sit there topless anyway, let’s make the most of it!”

HIME: “You’re assuming I have more to reveal.”

STELLA: “Darling, EVERYONE has more to reveal. The question is whether you’re brave enough to do it.”

MIKOTO: “This feels like a challenge.”

STELLA: “It IS a challenge! I challenge both of you to be as bold as I am! No more deflecting! No more ‘interesting observations’ that go nowhere! Real talk!”

HIME: “And what will YOU contribute to this ‘real talk’?”

STELLA: “Anything you want! My first time with Boss! My worst sales disaster! The time I accidentally seduced the wrong person at a corporate event! Ask and I’ll answer!”

MIKOTO: “Wait! Your first time with BOSS?! You’d actually talk about that?!”

STELLA: “Why not? It happened! It was memorable! I’m not ashamed of it!”

HIME: “She’s really not shy at all, is she.”

MIKOTO: “Stella doesn’t know what ‘shy’ means.”

HIME: “Literally. I’ve tried to explain the concept to her.”

STELLA: “It sounds fake! Why would anyone hide who they are or what they want? Life’s too short for that nonsense!”

    Closing

HIME: “Alright. Stella is officially part of the broadcast now.”

STELLA: “And I’m THRILLED to be here! This is going to be SO much fun!”

MIKOTO: “More fun or more chaos?”

    STELLA: “Yes!”

HIME: “Before we continue into the next segment: audience, you’ve met Stella. We’ve said goodbye to Nova.”

MIKOTO: “And now we want to know what you want to see next!”

    STELLA: “Ooh! Give them options!”

HIME: “Fine. Options for the next segment:”

HIME: “First: Stella stories. Let her share her most outrageous experiences. Sales tactics, romantic pursuits, corporate incidents.”

STELLA: “I have SO many good ones!”

HIME: “Second: Another game. Truth or dare, perhaps? With Stella adding her energy to the mix?”

    MIKOTO: “That sounds dangerous.”

    STELLA: “That sounds PERFECT!”

HIME: “Third: Direct questions for Stella. The audience can ask her anything they’ve been curious about since we first mentioned her.”

MIKOTO: “Or we could do a combination! Let the audience decide what they’re most interested in!”

STELLA: “I vote for all of the above! Maximum content! Maximum chaos!”

HIME: “The chaos is already maximum with you here.”

    STELLA: “Aww, thank you~!”

HIME: “That wasn’t entirely a compliment.”

STELLA: “I’m taking it as one anyway!”

MIKOTO: “Comment section is open! Tell us what you want!”

    STELLA: “Don’t be shy!”

    HIME: “We’ll return shortly.”

STELLA: “The audience is VERY lucky tonight!”

    MIKOTO: “See you all soon~!”

    • Hime’s lie: #3 (She doesn’t care about relationship status. Attraction isn’t influenced by whether someone is taken)
    • Mikoto’s lie: #1 (She doesn’t develop crushes on people she hasn’t interacted with. Needs actual connection first)

    a) stella being a crop from a dating sim character (or something like that) as opposed to a little chibi like the other two gave me ten flavors of whiplash

    b) if iwara comes back and there’s not “Content” of hime and mikoto i’ll be ultra mega sad like i’ll fall into forever despair

Man I thought Stella would be a sexy office lady not that I have someting against gyaru, it´s a surprise but a welcome one, so I have a question: Have Stella always been on the gyaru style or does she has tried other styles before?

Truth or Dare would be really fun especially since Stella is here now !
But I would also like to know if Stella would rather make out with Hime or Mikoto, not that I would want to create some jealousy between the both, wouldn’t I ?

Can I recommend what Stella did all of the above maximum chaos

    ステラに求める物⋯

    もちろん、裸がみたいわ!!

Stella finally arrived! Good to see her and that explosive personality! I also thought the twins were being too cautious.

We already love them, there’s no shame in indulging on all that attention.

Let it be chaos! Total chaos! As chaotic as possible!

Seduced the wrong person? That sounds like a fun fuckup to hear about. …And after typing that out, I realize it might be literal! I’m more interested in how Stella is apparently trying to get into a romantic relationship with the boss of Iwara Corp (and has had casual flings with him) but he’s rebuffing her advances, though.

YESSSSSS! Thanks for finally bringing Stella on! Her personality is honestly exactly what I imagined she would be like, and I’m most interested in hearing her stories. Her attempts to push Hime and Mikoto towards confessing their feelings about each other is much appreciated as well.
