A US attack on Canada would trigger a response from the entire British Commonwealth. How would the US defend not only a massive northern border, but also the Pacific coast from Australia, the Atlantic coast from the UK, and the Gulf of Mexico from Jamaica?

I fear the best case scenario going forward is that NATO and Canada occupy the United States, de-Nazify it, and oversee the creation of a new constitution which drastically de-militarizes the nation and reduces the role of the executive to primarily administrative.

A good Superman video game would be a time management game. Superman can physically do anything and beat anyone, so the gameplay should focus on helping as many people as possible while disaster befalls the city.

I'm enjoying the game, but the tutorial for Cyberpunk 2077 is dogshit. Since Super Mario Bros in 1985, we've known the best way to teach a game to a new player is incremental. But Cyberpunk just dumps the whole game's tutorial in one place. It sucks.

I want to reboot Star Trek TOS. And I don't mean I want someone else to do it. And I don't want a prequel or sequel series. Flat headed Klingons who scheme and connive, Andorians and Tellarites everywhere, pajamas for uniforms, big glowing clicky buttons. Star Trek TOS's aesthetic is peak.

I like Star Trek's Starfleet ships to be named after concepts that can be translated into alien languages. Surely Vulcan, Andorian, and Tellarite have equivalent words or phrases for "Enterprise", "Intrepid", "Defiant", and "Voyager". But "Lexington"? "Farragut"? It's so Human-centric.

When Star Trek TOS made their Captain a white man, Jim Crowe was the law of the land for a huge number of Americans, and women needed the permission of their husband to do any banking. So what's Enterprise's excuse?

What is going on with Star Trek? I thought after 2009 we were getting more and cooler Trek, and for a bit we were. Discovery apparently hates canon, but it's at least fun and interesting. But SNW hates canon, and is also intellectually and morally offensive.

I'm not sure why every iteration of the Gorn aside from TOS has misunderstood the original. NuTrek make them fast mindless bigoted brutes. But the Gorn Captain in Arena is slow and tactical, setting many traps. He speaks eloquently, calling Kirk out on principle, not race.
