我现在还在看的历史评书相声中个人评价最低的是文昭和曹操说，他们节目中会加入5%可信度不足90%的野史和猜测。 但是小约翰就离谱了，纯纯的独立艺术想象。除了阵营和人名以及可信度或高或低的野史以外，全是艺术创作和小说式的情节编制和村头大妈式的心理推断。大概率除了人名和个别文物之外其他东西只能蒙对三成而且内核完全不对。但是当时我对历史小品没那么感兴趣，倒是确实听他入坑的，只能说他是郭德纲和曹操说中间的桥梁。

他就是講故事的， 尤其講蘇聯野史特別有趣 關於勃烈日捏夫的段子數不勝數 ，但他很多的資料來源確實是完全找不到的（我真的有找過很多次但我真的看不到，甚至有些人名也無）。
