>>15602I have an AU about the Loud Ancestors, but it's not a Sin Kids AU, though it could be made into one.
Incest in European nobility is reserved between cousins, uncles, aunts, etc., not parental or sibling relationships. The same goes for European royalty, though it could be made into a secret thing within the Loud dynasty. There are places where royal incest is normalized, such places would be Egypt, Hawaii, and the Inca Empire. Furthermore, there's a research paper that delves into 4,000 BC in Newgrange, Ireland, and it has been found that one of the people buried there is a result of first-degree incest, so sibling incest or parent-child incest.
Yes, that's right, the Sin Kids actually existed around 4,000 BC, lmao.
Then their descendants would go on to migrate to Islay around 476 AD. The movie does have Loch Loud specifically located on Islay, after all.
In my AU, they wouldn't have that much conflict with the English, and it would be more specifically with Scotland. An actual conflict between the English and the Louds would be with Oliver Cromwell, which is pretty thematic if you think about it. Oliver Cromwell is a god-fearing Puritan who would do everything in his power to cleanse all of the British Isles of Sin with the wrath of the Old Testament God. The Louds would be his number one target at all costs once he learns of their incestuous ways. Aggie could work with Oliver Cromwell as well.
Aggie had a grudge against the Louds because she is part of the MacDonald Clan, who were historically the rulers of the Lordship of the Isles. Around the 1400s, a Lincoln lookalike was born, cunningly usurped the MacDonalds, and led an independence war against King James I and won, so the Duchy is an independent realm. This explains why Aggie does not tolerate the Louds at all.
