It's crazy to me that Joe Camel was so effective at marketing cigarettes to children that it provoked actual legal action

Not because I expect better from the tobacco industry, but because every image I've seen of him makes him look like the most divorced man on the planet

This dude is a bottom-tier sales manager who had to move into a studio apartment and doesn't have visitation rights because he refused to show up to his own divorce hearing "on principle." He hangs out at "biker bars" every weekend (and he always calls them that) but he's scared to grow a beard or let his hair get long because his sense of masculinity is deeply bound up in the time he spent in the Marine Corps. He was never active duty but if you point that out he'll start screaming at you.
