Visit Lebanon
The Heart of Kentucky

Lebanon, and Marion County—this area really is the Heart of Kentucky. And that’s not an empty claim: It really is the dead-drop, U. S. Geological Service-designated center of the state of Kentucky. Lebanon is sandwiched between two major interstates and the Bluegrass Parkway. It’s a defining point of the “Golden Triangle”…about 65 miles from Louisville to Lexington to Lebanon and back to Louisville. This means we’re the perfect destination because of our perfect location—we’re smack in the middle of all the other wonderful Kentucky destinations.

Lebanon is also the crossroads of Kentucky’s two best Bourbon experiences: The Kentucky Bourbon Trail and The Kentucky Bourbon Trail Craft Tour. Our 11-mile Marion County Trail is one of the best bargains in bourbon travel. On our trail there’s world-famous Maker’s Mark at one end; the home of world-famous Yellowstone bourbon, Limestone Branch Distillery, in the middle; and at the other end, something you won’t find anywhere else, ISC’s Kentucky Cooperage, where you can tour and see where most of the state’s bourbon barrels are made.  There’s so much to do when you visit Lebanon!

Add to this world-class bourbon experience all the other reasons to visit Lebanon:

• We’ve been a destination for first-class dining for years…and that tradition continues.
• Lebanon downtown adds our mural experience to wonderful shopping options.
• Events, events, events. Including one of the oldest and most established festivals in the state, Ham Days, and year round entertainment and performances at Kentucky Classic Arts at Centre Square. And there’s our Catholic heritage and the Holy Lands Tour, and the Loretto Motherhouse and Farm, and… Well, you get the idea. Start discovering all of it, right here, on these pages.

We welcome you to Lebanon for a unique Kentucky experience!
