In fact, lets say Hitler did capture some land from the USSR and the people living there had choice to evacuate to further USSR or stay in the Reich, they'd absolutely had better future in the Reich unlike the USSR where millions of them in Eastern Europe where starved to death if not straight up exterminated/gulag'd for anti-semitism or other "counter revolutionary" thought crimes
