Spinland Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 Right now I have my TCH-hosted e-mail accounts forwarded to a central address so I only need to POP down from one place. The problem with that is I need to log in via CPanel every now and then to clear out the accounts, since each one saves a copy of the mail it forwards. While reading the help file on forwarders, it's mentioned that to avoid the second copy being kept you can add a forwarder but not create the account. I'm interested, but since the only way I know of to create a forwarder is to create the account and then add it via the menus, I would like to know how just to make a forwarder that doesn't have an account "behind" it. Any help would be wonderful; thanks in advance and Happy Hollydaze! Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 Just go into Forwards in cPanel and create the forward and tell it where to send it. If you don't create an account for the forward no email will be stored. I use this feature heavily. When I sign up for something I create a forward for it to my real email address. Once I get the messages I want, I delete the forward. If anything else is sent to the forward email account it just goes to never never land and I don't get spammed with it. Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 As you say, no actual mailboxes (email account section in cpanel) are needed, so you can remove them and then in the forwarder section just re add them as forwarders. Quote
Spinland Posted December 23, 2008 Author Posted December 23, 2008 Thanks. I overlooked the forwarders icon in the CPanel menu. D'oh! Quote
