To hell with these ideas that femininity is being associated with weakness (which I kind of get from your reply, if she doesn't fight with a sword she's weak and just reads poetry...). I see this all the time, a "strong female character" is one that gets rid of her feminine traits (like long hair) and needs to adopt traditionally male traits like physical combat prowess. A character can be feminine and not a physical fighter and still be strong. This Zelda is not Tetra or Ocarina Zelda, she's a different character. This one is princess and a mage. There's no need to make her occupy the role of Link to make her strong. I dislike this trend that you need tomboys or female characters in traditionally male roles else they must be weak. Strength comes in different ways.
