Zelda fanart is always fantastic. Even the sketches/lineart's are usually awesome. The sequel announcement has nicely rekindled the art exponentially :D

If you don't get to play as Zelda, I at least hope she plays a huge role in the story. Her getting spirited away by Ganon again would be so boring - especially since they've been portraying her as a more adventurous version of Zelda.

I don't get that. She was pretty much the protagonist in BOTW with the flashbacks flashing out her character and at the end as well, even if Link was playable. One of her best representations.

Funny enough they were supposed to do that with the Zelda x Link couple from Skyward Sword. But I honestly never really got enamored with their relationship as I did with the BotW couple. For some reason I feel more chemistry between the current couple than I did with the SS ones.

I don't really like the ones with the sword. Zelda is a princess and untrained as royalty is not meant to fight at the front lines. You don't need to make her a melee character to make her strong. She's an intelligent ruler, her triforce is wisdom, and she has very capable magic. That role suits her well, let her be the mage she is. She doesn't need to be a female Link to be a strong character, she already is a strong character on her own.
