What is Status COUP?
Status Coup News is an independent news network that reports ON-THE-GROUND across the country—what we call the United Corporations of America— on the important stories the corporate media exists to COVER UP. Funded by working people, rather than billionaires, we expose and cover corruption, worker exploitation and workers fighting back, protest movements, environmental injustice, and the progressive movement.

Colin TooleyEditor/Producer Tooley is an original Status COUP team member and works behind the scenes to help expose the systemic corruption in America via graphic design, video editing and content creation. He also often serves as the production assistant during livestreams. |
Michelle DaoCreative Director/Producer Dao is an Emmy-winning producer whose work includes the untold stories across Asia, the Middle East, Europe and North America. Her work has generated over 1 billion views on social media, and helped initiate life-saving policy changes for marginalized communities across in the U.S. |
JT CestkowskiReporter/Producer Cestkowski is an investigative reporter based in Wisconsin with a history covering labor rights, environmental pollution, and corporate malfeasance.
