I will be taking the night off. There is a protest tonight at Henry Whipple Building (every day/night) however I need to rest for the remainder of the week/weekend. I will continue covering the ICE raids bright and early tomorrow and theres a veteran-led protest at noon at the Whipple Building. I appreciate all the love and support I’ve been receiving. I couldn’t do it without the support of my community ❤️

I don't think I've ever faced as difficult a mental battle as these ICE raids in the Twin Cities. We are nearly 45 days into Operation Metro Surge. We have thousands of federal agents looking for brown/black people on the street simply for existing. We are hit with chemical munitions every single day, and one of our fellow Minnesotans was murdered by a masked thug in uniform. Yet we continue because we must, or we will lose our home. Minnesota stands together. ❤️

ICE detained a child on the street today in Minneapolis on Bloomington and 44th. I’ve seen many things out here but pulling up on a Latino child and preventing them from getting their ID from the house was terrible to witness.

I should not have lost my cool tonight no matter how tough it gets. I’m sleep deprived, managing PTSD, very little food/water because federal agents murdered one of my fellow Minnesotans. MAGA agitators are best dealt with by ignoring them. It’s difficult for me as a man to watch the same few agitators go from city to city hitting women and instigating fights. I apologize for losing my cool tonight and coming across as a different person.

Minnesota, don’t let these federal raids break your spirit. This is meant to scare people into silence and make our neighbors feel alone, but that’s not who we are. Check on your people. Share resources. Be the calm voice, be the witness, be the friend who shows up. They can’t raid solidarity. Minnesota has each other’s back. Minnesota knows how to deal with ICE.
