Although there was a bit of weird perverted dialogue, along with the new redesigns of certain female characters being more sexualized than the original designs of them. And even after that causing battler to having a huge leakage, he was still stubborn in his denial of her existence.
I misjudged you definitely. Even if a few of my concerns turned out to be true, it doesn’t take away from the fact of my judgment being wrong.
You cared enough to show me what your interest is really about which I appreciate your kindness for doing so. So I thought it wouldn’t be fair for me to judge you for liking something without showing you one of my own interests.

Episode 1 is definitely unique in its atmosphere. The question of Beatrice "existing" really helps develop a sense of dread towards the end. The next episode is where I'd say the "true" game begins. You'll see how far Battler's stubbornness gets him.
Also, I'm assuming you went with the MangaGamer version for the first episode? I'll admit that the default sprites in that version are extremely stupid. The console sprites (on the right) are more relaxed when it comes to that while not looking as derpy as the original sprites so you may be interested in them. Besides that, I think the console port's voice acting adds a lot to the characters. I can't think of the characters without thinking about their voice actors aswell.

My review of episode 2. I assumed battler would win in his match with Beatrice, but I was wrong and unfortunately ended up humiliated by her. Despite his defeat and humiliation, he still had some courage to challenge beatrice during her torture session with rosa. Similar to how shannon stood up to beatrice and pissed her off and her dying quickly along with george. I like the way how bernkastel’s eyes look “lifeless” in this version, sort of representing what she went through.
Overall I enjoyed it despite it being longer than the first episode.
