You're confusing "Quick Access Menu" and "Quick Access Toolbar". They're two different things.
File Explorer - Quick Access Toolbar - Windows 11
How can I get my File Explorer quick access toolbar back in Windows 11? It appears to have been removed in the update from Windows 10. This makes navigating file explorer pretty cumbersome with a keyboard, especially since there is no way to autofit the column widths via shortcut.
Thank you!

Sep 20, 2023, 12:29 AM Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.
They have removed many of the options in the new File Explorer app, but there is a new File Explorer app expected to be released soon in an update, which will hopefully bring back some of the missing functionality
The only workaround I know of is as follows:
Open the old Control Panel
In the address bar in the old Control Panel, type Home and press Enter.
That will open File Explorer with the full ribbon from the old version.

Sep 21, 2023, 1:18 AM Hi Dave,
Thank you so much! Your steps didn't quite work (might be a me problem) but this other thread had a workaround.
I really hope this is fixed soon - I miss the ribbon!!
Thanks again,
Trevor

Sep 21, 2023, 1:19 AM Hi Horace,
Thanks but no, I'm referring to the old ribbon/QAT that was in file explorer that enabled Alt shortcuts. The following thread had a workaround for now.
Thanks anyway!
