I know this isn't relevant to the thread, but I couldn't help but want to speak about this.
Puru just got a "new" redesign, and I'm having mixed feelings about it.
I honestly prefer the "modern" animal-like design, as it was an original and unique take on the egg-shaped design of Azumarill, plus the new assault vest was a nice touch too, as I believe it perfectly reflects Puru's headstrong and punch-packing demeanor. When it was first revealed, it threw me off at first, but it eventually grew on me, and I began to really like it when I started comparing it to the overused (I didn't know if this is the right term) egg-shaped design. Best of all, Puru was given an actual neck (I don't know why, but this was a huge deal for me, and I loved it). It truly looks like a major improvement to Puru's older design.
The "new" design throws all of the modern design's original aspects strength out of the window (aside from the vest, although the assault vest is now gone), as it does look like Fid said screw it and just time traveled into 2017, stripNice personut the older design, brought it back into 2025, gave him a lighter tint of blue and labeled it as the "new" and """improved""" design. I don't know if it's just me, but there is something about the "new" design that looks a bit off from a certain point of view.
You might say that I might eventually grow into the "new" design like I did with the "modern" design, but how can I grow into it when it is LITERALLY just the older design, which I didn't like very much?
I don't know what Fid is trying to do or accomplish here (is he trying to stay true to the original Azumarill design? I don't know, there is currently no explanation as to why he did it), but I don't think this is a good move for the sake of Puru's image. No improvements or anything.
If you like the older/new design, then that's perfectly okay (I can somewhat see the cute aspect to it), but for me? Nope. I think it is a big step back from what made the previous design original to begin with. I am really going to miss Puru's previous design.
