JAKARTA: What appeared to be just another routine domestic flight took an awkward turn when a 23-year-old woman recently boarded a Batik Air service dressed head to toe as cabin crew — without actually being one,
Harian Metro reported.
The woman, travelling from Palembang to Jakarta, used the fast-track lane reserved for airline staff despite holding an ordinary passenger ticket.

Her deception only surfaced after a video circulated on
Instagram, showing her confidently wearing a full flight attendant uniform and flashing what looked like an official trainee identification card.
She managed to enter the aircraft with a valid boarding pass, raising uncomfortable questions about how far a convincing outfit can carry someone.
Crew members grew suspicious mid-journey when her answers failed to match basic professional knowledge expected of cabin staff.
The doubts followed her to Terminal 2 of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, where Aviation Security officers were already waiting.
She insisted she was a flight attendant and produced an ID card, which was later confirmed to be fake.
The case was handed over to the airport police for further investigation into possible impersonation and security breaches.
Authorities said the woman had previously applied to be a cabin crew but did not make the cut.
She later admitted the uniform was worn to spare her family in Palembang the embarrassment of failure — proving that pride, not turbulence, was the real reason for the rough landing.
