Solfeggio Frequencies
The healing codes of creation
528 HZ Frequency Spectrum Analyzer Meter
Personally, for several years now, I have been immersed in a journey that began with the book Healing Codes for the Biological Apocalypse by Dr. Leonard Horowitz and Dr. Joseph Puleo. My fascination was sparked when I encountered a unique intersection of ancient musicology, biblical hermeneutics, pythagorean numerology, and contemporary biophysics.
As a musician, I connected deeply with the profound argument asserting the existence of a six note musical scale that was hidden for centuries by ecclesiastical authorities due to its potential to facilitate biological healing and spiritual awakening. I was particularly intrigued by the peculiar process of mathematical decoding applied to the Book of Numbers in the Bible, but fundamental vibratory codes that resonates with the very structure of creation and human DNA.
Within me, a restless inquiry arose regarding the existence of tones possessing the capacity to restore the integrity of the human body at a subatomic level…
Horowitz and Puleo interpret disease as a dissonance in the individual’s energetic field. The application of specific frequencies seeks to “retrain” cells and DNS to return to their original state of harmony. This vision is supported by the idea that the universe is a fabric of sounds and vibrations where matter is energy condensed through the power of a primordial sound. This evokes the recovery of these frequencies to allow human biology to “tune in” once again with the creative matrix of the cosmos.
Historical evolution of the scale
In hindu philosophy, especially within the vedic traditions, everything in the universe is considered sound or vibration, a concept known as Nada Brahma (नाद ब्रह्म), which means “the universe is sound”. According to this perspective, existence itself originates and is sustained through cosmic vibrations, with the primordial sound Om being the purest manifestation of creation.
From this worldview, the universe is not a collection of solid, isolated objects, but a vibratory continuum born from the Spanda, or the primordial pulse of consciousness. In this light, matter is understood as energy condensed through the power of Vāc (the sacred world), where every physical form, from galaxies to DNA strands, possesses a specific resonance frequency known as its “natural name” (Nama).
Disease, therefore, is interpreted as a rhythmic dissonance or an interference in the flow of Prana (life energy), caused by a loss of synchronization with the Shabda Brahman, or absolute sound.
The meaning of the cosmos according to hinduism is a topic I will address in another text, specifically with regard to the process of conceiving vibrations as the divine fabric of the reality of life…
However, the history of this scale’s evolution does not end there; bridges also emerge within medieval musicology. In the 11th century, the benedictine monk Guido d’Arezzo, considered the father of western musical notation, sought a method for monks to memorize certain notes. For this, he used the hymn “Ut queant laxis”, dedicated to Saint John the Baptist:
Ut queant laxis
Resonare fibris,
Mira gestorum
Famuli tuorum,
Solve polluti
Labii reatum,
Sancte Ioannes.
C - Do - Ut - Ut queant laxis
D - Re - Resonare fibris
E - Mi - Mira gestorum
F - Fa - Famuli tuorum
G - Sol - Solve polluti
A - La - Labii reatum
B - Si - Sancte Ioannes
So that your servants may,
with loosened voices,
resound the wonders of your deeds
with the strings of their vocal cords;
cleanse the guilt from
their stained lips,
Saint John.
The note B (Si) was added in the 17th century, approximately 600 years after Guido d’Arezzo invented the solfege system. Its inclusion is attributed to later musicians and theorists who recognized the need for a seventh note to complete the diatonic scale. The name (Si) comes from the initials of Sancte Ioannes, the last line of the hymn to Saint John the Baptist.
This addition helped structure western music more effectively and facilitated reading and composition. Later, in the 16th century, the italian music theorist Giovanni Battista Doni changed Ut to Do, as it was easier to sing. Since then, the scale has remained Do, Re, Mi, Fa, Sol, La, Si (C, D, E, F, G, A, B).
Numerological decoding
For now, I will not traverse the complete history of the western musical scale, but rather focus here on the technical pillar of the solfeggio frequencies. According to the discovery made by Dr. Joseph Puleo, it is claimed that the original frequencies were rediscovered the through divine guidance and the numerological analysis of the Biblical Book of Numbers, chapter 7, verses 12 through 83. The method employed is based on pythagorean numerology, a process where large numbers are reduced to single digits (1-9) by repeatedly adding them to find their “root” or “pythmen”.
Puleo identified that the verses describing the offerings of the leaders of the twelve tribes of Israel contained an encrypted pattern. By applying digital summation to the verse numbers, a repetitive sequence of 3, 6 and 9 emerged. This pattern is directly associated with the six central solfeggio frequencies.
Example:
The analysis by Horowitz demonstrates that every six verses the pattern repeats, revealing the frequencies 396, 417, 528, 639, 741 and 852. The significance of this finding lies in its mathematical consistency; each frequency, when reduced to its digital root follows the Tesla sequence of 3, 6 and 9, suggesting these notes are fundamental to the flow of energy in the universe.
Tesla pattern
Nikola Tesla famously stated that if one knew the magnificence of the numbers 3, 6 and 9, one would hold the key to the universe. Horowitz integrates this philosophy into his study of solfeggio frequencies, arguing that these numbers represent the stages of creation and the manifestation of energy.
The solfeggio scale
The frequencies that compose the original solfeggio scale have the following specific functions:
(C) DO 396 HZ
Used for liberating guilt and fear. It helps turn grief into joy and release negative emotional patterns.
(D) RE 417 HZ
Facilitates change and helps “undo” difficult situations or past traumas. It is associated with breaking up crystallized emotional patterns.
(E) MI 528 HZ
Known as the “miracle note” it is the central frequency of the scale. Described as the vibration necessary for the transformation, miracles and DNA repair.
(F) FA 639 HZ
Focuses on connection and relationships. It promotes harmony, mutual understanding, and interconnectedness between brain quadrants.
(G) SOL 741 HZ
Used for awakening intuition and enhancing self expression. It is associated with cleansing toxins in cells and solving difficult problems.
(A) LA 852 HZ
Helps return to spiritual order and awaken deep intuition. It is linked to a frequency of unconditional love that allows one to see through illusions.
Expanded scale and the perfect circle of sound
Horowitz later expanded this scale to nine core frequencies to complete what he calls The perfect circle of sound:
174 HZ
Acts as a foundation for security and stability. It is used to relieve physical and energetic pain, grounding spirit into matter.
285 HZ
Linked to body regeneration, helping to heal damaged organs and tissues. It provides a sense of wellness and optimism.
963 HZ
Represents the return to unity and spirit. It is designed to awaken any system to its original state of perfection, allowing direct connection with the divine light and consciousness.
Efficient usage of these frequencies
The most critical factor is the use of a faithful and loving intention when applying the frequencies. Sound is considered a vehicle for energy; therefore, the practitioner must focus their mind on the specific purpose of the frequency to achieve effective resonance.
The book provides a reference table linking each code to specific emotional or spiritual aspect. I have included this information in the description anchored to each frequency. Efficient use involves identifying which energy center or emotional state is in dissonance and selecting the corresponding frequency to restore harmony.
It is recommended that the tones be listened to at low volumes, often as background sound. In practice, it is suggested that the impact is greater when the tones are nearly imperceptible, allowing the vibration to work subtly on the bioenergetic field.
Dedicate sessions of 5 to 10 minutes of total immersion to allow the body’s cells and the brain to vibrate in synchronization with the code.
Since these frequencies are derived from the tradition of vedic and gregorian chants, it is noted that the act of singing or intoning the notes enhances their effect, as the body’s own resonance chamber becomes an emitter of the frequency.
Efficient impact is achieved when the user employs these frequencies as a tool to “tune” the body to the divine matrix, treating biology as an energetic structure that responds to the combination of pure sound and mental intention.
The future of bioacoustic medicine
This would reveal a system of thought that challenges the traditional boundaries between science and spirituality. There is a convergence of data coming from cymatics, for instance, or even biophysics of mitochondria, combined with biblical numerology; all this knowledge factually suggests that sound possesses a structuring power over life that we are only again beginning to understand…
