35. EUROSHORTS International Film Festival 2026 "Young Filmmakers"

- Festival Regulations
We invite short films shot in Europe and in other Continents in 2025-2026, not exceeding 30 minutes in length.
The film contest is open to all films, including first films and students' films (fiction, documentary, animation and experimental).
The festival offers comfortable screening rooms, screening equipment and good viewers. We kindly request of the filmmakers, producers and film studios and film schools to make their films available to us. The Selection Group will make a selection of the films and will qualify the most interesting ones for the International Contest.
The screenings will be held during the Euroshorts 2026 Festival in Gdansk and subsequently in Warsaw until December 12th, 2026. The films may be shown also in other Polish cities as a part of the Festival Tour of Poland (if the producer of each film agrees).
The films should be submitted exclusively through the FilmFreeway platform https://filmfreeway.com/festival/euroshorts, by September 10th, 2026 (Regular Deadline with the cost of submission: 25 US Dollars) or by September 30th, 2026 (Last Chance Deadline with the cost of submission: 45 US Dollars). The payment covers the administrative fee of FilmFreeway and helps to proceed with the selection process. The fee waivers ("free gates") would be available only within the Regular Deadline to film schools (limit: 2 films per school) and to selected individual films, only in the case the Festival receives any public funding.
Euroshorts Jury will offer the Awards, and the form of Awards depends on our Sponsors.
About 50-100 films will be selected for competition. The decision of the selection committee is final and not subject to appeal.
The selected films will be considered for Awards and the Jury will select the best film in each category:
· Best Fiction Film
· Best Documentary Film
· Best Animation Film
· Best Experimental Film
The jury will look for films that in a simple, perfect form talk about important subjects concerning contemporary life.
A Main Award may also be awarded, as well as other prizes.
The Jury will consist of filmmakers, art historians, journalists, designers and cultural events' organizers. Members of the Jury will watch films individually or during public screenings and the decision will be made during the meeting, with all the Jurors present or on the basis of their written statements. The Festival Director is responsible for the accuracy of work of the Jury.
Important Information and Permissions:
1. By submitting the film to the preselection of the 35th Euroshorts 2026 Young Filmmakers International Film Festival, you authorize the Young Cinema Foundation, a non-profit organization based in Warsaw, Poland (the Euroshorts Organizer), to screen the film during the 2026 Euroshorts Festival in 2 cities in Poland (Gdańsk, Warszawa), between November 30th - December 12th, 2026, for promotional reasons, as a part of the Foundation's statutory activity.
2. The Foundation will not be required to pay any fee nor royalty to the copyright owner and/or to the people involved in each production.
3. This permission will extend to the online screening on the Festival server accessible only for registered users between November 30th and December 12th, 2026, only when you check the appropriate box in the Entry Form.
4. This permission will extend to screenings in 5 cities other than Gdańsk and Warszawa, during the Euroshorts Tour of Poland (between January 1st and October 30th, 2027) only when you check the appropriate box in the Entry Form.
5. By making a submission the person declares that he or she has the right to do so.
6. In case you need to withdraw the film from the Euroshorts Competition, you can do it 7 days after the selection results at the latest (until October 27th, 2026). After this date there is no possibility to withdraw the film.
8. The participants send the films on their own expense. After the Festival, the preview material will not be returned.

EUROSHORTS 2026 MŁODZI FILMOWCY

Do udziału w Międzynarodowym Festiwalu Filmowym Euroshorts 2026 przyjmujemy filmy fabularne, animowane, dokumentalne lub eksperymentalne, zrealizowane w Europie i na innych kontynentach w latach 2025-2026, o czasie emisji nie przekraczającym 30 minut.
Konkurs filmowy jest otwarty dla wszystkich filmów, łącznie z filmami studenckimi i filmami debiutantów. Festiwal zapewnia wygodne sale i sprzęt projekcyjny oraz dobrą publiczność. Zwracamy się do realizatorów, producentów, studiów i szkół filmowych z prośbą o nadsyłanie prac. Komisja selekcyjna dokona przeglądu filmów i zakwalifikuje najciekawsze z nich do udziału w Konkursie Międzynarodowym.
Projekcje będą się odbywały codziennie w czasie trwania wydarzeń Festiwalu Euroshorts 2026 w Gdańsku, a następnie w Warszawie, w dniach 30 listopada - 12 grudnia 2026 r. Filmy mogą być pokazywane także w innych miastach w ramach Trasy Festiwalu Euroshorts 2026 po Polsce (jeśli producent filmu wyrazi na to zgodę na formularzu zgłoszenia).
Filmy do bieżącej edycji należy zgłaszać wyłącznie za pomocą platformy FilmFreeway https://filmfreeway.com/festival/euroshorts, do 10 września 2026 ("termin zwykły" z kosztem zgłoszenia filmu: 25 dolarów USA), albo 30 września 2026 ("termin ostatniej szansy" z kosztem zgłoszenia filmu: 45 dolarów USA). Ta kwota pokrywa opłatę administracyjną serwisu FilmFreeway oraz pomaga przeprowadzić proces selekcji. Ze zwolnienia z opłaty („bezpłatnej bramki”) mogą skorzystać szkoły filmowe (ograniczenie: 2 filmy ze szkoły) oraz wybrani uczestnicy indywidualni, tylko w ramach zwykłego terminu zgłaszania filmów, jednak dopiero wtedy, gdy Festiwal otrzyma jakąkolwiek dotację ze środków publicznych.
W konkursie Euroshorts będą przyznane nagrody, a ich forma zależy od Sponsorów Festiwalu.
Spośród zgłoszonych do konkursu filmów, do udziału w konkursie zakwalifikujemy około 50-100 prac. Od decyzji Komisji Selekcyjnej nie ma odwołania.
Z wybranego zestawu Jury wybierze po jednym najlepszym filmie w każdej kategorii:
- najlepszy film fabularny
- najlepszy film dokumentalny
- najlepszy film animowany
- najlepszy film eksperymentalny
Za najlepszy film uznajemy taki, który według opinii jury będzie w lakonicznej, doskonałej formie, poruszał ważny temat dotyczący współczesności.
Może zostać także przyznana nagroda specjalna – Nagroda Główna, dla najlepszego filmu festiwalu oraz inne nagrody.
W składzie Jury znajdą się filmowcy, historycy sztuki, plastycy i animatorzy kultury.
Jurorzy będą oglądać filmy indywidualnie lub wspólnie, a decyzja w sprawie nagród zostanie podjęta podczas narady, w obecności wszystkich Jurorów lub w oparciu o ich pisemne oświadczenia. Dyrektor Festiwalu odpowiada za rzetelność prac Jury.
Ważne informacje i zezwolenia:
1. Nadesłanie filmu do wstępnej selekcji 35. Międzynarodowego Festiwalu Filmowego Euroshorts Młodzi Filmowcy 2026 oznacza, że właściciel praw autorskich i producenckich do filmu wyraził zgodę na udział filmu w konkursie i projekcję filmu w 2 miastach (Gdańsk, Warszawa), w okresie od 30 listopada do 12 grudnia 2026, w celach promocyjnych, w ramach działalności statutowej Fundacji Młodego Kina, organizatora festiwalu Euroshorts.
2. Z tytułu projekcji utworu w ramach festiwalu, Fundacja nie będzie zobowiązana do żadnych opłat na rzecz właściciela i realizatorów filmu ani organizacji zbiorowego zarządzania prawami autorskimi.
3. Zezwolenie to może być rozszerzone na projekcję online w terminie określonym w pkt. 1 na serwerze festiwalowym dostępnym dla zarejestrowanych użytkowników, jeśli zgłaszający zaznaczył odpowiednie pole w Formularzu Zgłoszenia.
4. Zezwolenie to może być rozszerzone na projekcję w ramach 5 replik regionalnych festiwalu Euroshorts w innych miastach Polski (w okresie od 1 stycznia do 30 października 2027), jeśli zgłaszający zaznaczył odpowiednie pole w Formularzu Zgłoszenia.
5. Osoba zgłaszająca film do konkursu oświadcza, że dysponuje prawami do dokonania takiego zgłoszenia.
6. Zgłaszający, których filmy zostały zakwalifikowane do Konkursu Międzynarodowego Euroshorts, mogą, w razie konieczności wycofać film z Konkursu w czasie 7 dni od otrzymania wyników selekcji (do 27 października 2026). Po tym terminie nie ma możliwości wycofania filmu.
7. Uczestnicy dostarczają filmy na własny koszt. Po festiwalu udostępnione materiały promocyjne nie będą zwracane.
