If anthro=humanoid then there are serious implications

Well Floof should've fluffing thought about that and explicitly stated that this is a website fur anthropomorphised animals on the home page, then there'd be no questions about whether the Reddit Snoo, the Halo Elites or toilet paper hangers could be considered "anthro" or not. Honestly, I fluffing hate that word. I don't like the way it sounds. I don't like the way it's used.

You can generally tell whether someone is posting non-animal anthro stuff in good jest or if they're trying to shit up the board, no need to be too harsh

Anthro is short fur anthropomorphism, which just means applying human characteristics to non human things. It has always been a cope term fur people who don't want to be associated with furries.

Wouldn't want to get too hung up on semantics, imo it's best to just let the admins decide where to draw the line.
Anthro may sound confusing fur some but furry is also a very broad term (pic somewhat related) that also comes with a ton of stigma attached and could also be a turn-off fur some of the more casual enjoyers (e.g. the "I'm not a furry, I just like hmofa", "furries are people who wear fursuits and have orgies at furcons" folks), so at this point one may as well consider fluff.foo or something (though that would make people who like sharks and snakes etc left out).

So how long are "we" going to spent collectively scratching our asses until somebody capable of lateral thought comes around and proposes a better-sounding, more fitting term fur this conceptual-aesthetic fascination of ours?
>could also be a turn-off fur some of the more casual enjoyers
That's a stupid consideration to be making, but 'furry' does bring about some linguistic confusion, yes.

I dunno, I'm just here to look at pretty girls and sometimes post them as well. Wanted to share the pic above because it seemed rather pertinent, putting things into perspective.
Anecdotally, first heard someone mention "anfoo" in passing somewhere on 4chan and it sounded creative, though without context it would've been impossible to guess what it was. Name-wise kemono.party has (had, they are a .cr now it seems) a ring to it but doesn't reflect that site's contents at all.
There's probably no univocal solution because different people have different interpretations and criteria. But maybe it doesn't matter that much? Companies like, say, Google or Yahoo don't have the most self-explanatory or fitting names but have had major success regardless.
