Just a story. I made my account early 2023 and finally attempted for the first time on the 30th of December 2025, and failed. My home has no anchor points, I was on a trip with my boyfriend with a shower I knew would be sturdy enough for me to partial hang, I wasn't planning on anything though.
Eventually while sleeping I went through that phone... yea.. I was betrayed (not cheated on though), sent myself $200 off of his phone and more impulsive shit. I know life can go on after relationship issues, but I was over it. I just decided to take my pants, tie it around the shower door thing (its a sliding glass rail track..?), then make a final opening for my neck.
The part for around my neck? Sturdy, then keeps slowlyyy slipping undone. After many tries and tutorials, he woke up and found me standing in the shower with a half done noose. The first thing I said when he went to me was that "I'm stupid." I guess that's what I get for using victoria's secret pajama pants to kill myself lmfao. I wish I had figured out how to tie that last part effectively though, it was hard since it was a pair of pants and one pant leg was already tied around an anchor. I never got to a long enough point where I felt things besides pressure and a lack of breath. At least I didn't end up a vegetable though!
Well if there's any advice on ctb I'll take it, I just don't want to buy an actual rope and I don't have easy anchor points.
