i cant believe its finally out. its super fun but its really difficult. could also just be a skill issue on my end. this game feels like Enter the Gungeon but if it was magic instead of guns. that being said, if i hook up my controller to this, id probably be better at the game. its super fun and i will 100% be playing this all the time.

unrelated but i should mention that i am a huge fan of Vedal and Neuro and ive been waiting for this to come out

Had fun completing the game fully. I usually don't play games like this but it was very addicting trying different spells and trying going further to gain more knowledge. Fun game, cheap price, and simple mechanics; sometimes games don't need cutting edge graphics or be complex to be good. Overall I highly recommend this to anyone that is interested in this game or games like this to buy it and try it out themselves.

After I 100% Abandoned Archive, I have to say for my first rouge-like game to encounter I really liked it. The common enemies when realizing their patterns become easier to handle, yet there are times you can get caught off guard when not paying attention making the difficulty reasonable when moving to the other floors. The bosses are incredibly hard, but the progression is within you to learn and adapt, which motivated me to continue playing, lowering the bosses health until I actually won leaving me satisfied. You have to be creative with the spells given to you which was incredibly fun to utilize especially when leveling them up. The problems for Abandoned Archive is that it should have a mini map when going through rooms and some of them are a bit too dark to see. For the Lost Apparition, there was a moment where they spawned in too many ghosts and some spawn inside you, which is a bit unfair. It is also very hard to see and predict its patterns making it the most hardest boss to not get hit, that's crazy, that's actually crazy, that's messed up. Other than that I liked the game and recommend it for players who can handle patience and determination, trust me it was satisfying when completing the game. 7/10

Now as a fan of Vedal, Neuro-sama, and Evil. GREAT JOB TUTEL the archive has finally been unabandoned after many years. I love the Neuro reference being included I made sure to pray for good luck. Also, much love to the people who worked on Abandoned Archive as well, you guys are amazing and should be appreciated. I know Neuro is Vedal's main priority, but as his first game I think it went well. Love the water texture for showcasing its reflections and the smoke effect interactions as the boss starting room. 9.87/10

yes, i love this game. very good and well developed. unfortunetly, neuro decided today was not my day and proceeded to not block the death laser and let me vanish into the shadow realm.

This game is nothing short of absolute heat and if you want a magic roguelike, this is your game. At this point, I've only played for 9.5 hours, but that's going to increase, and I hope you give it a chance too.

Abandoned Archive is the story of an anthropomorphic frog and turtle who both dream of starting a little family together, but due to their vastly different natures, are both incapable of reconciling their underlying differences. Through twists, turns and some pretty harrowing boss fights, you come to understand the beauty in sadness and the comfort that can be found in leaving things unresolved.

The allegory to the philosophy of anti-natalism is admittedly heavy-handed, but it still allows room for a wonderfully nuanced exploration of the pain that can be found in the desire for creation. If you like games that aren't afraid to touch on the intertwining joy and tragedy of life, then Abandoned Archive is definitely for you.

Party minigames are also super fun.

This game is amazing for something in it's early stages so far, the large number of attacks give lots of variety and the ones you think are weaker are challenging you to find an effective use for them, and the upgrades make more spells funnier to use

This game has potential, but isn't fun. Dying is too easy and there is no meta-progression to speak of. Also, it's very strange that you can only get 1 upgrade per run from the orb at the beginning. Why not let me spend an increased amount of knowledge to get more upgrades from the orb?
