Parents say the game features a stylized shooting experience with minimal and non-graphic blood effects, making it suitable for older children and teens, although some recommend parental guidance due to the potential for online language and violence. Many reviewers emphasize the importance of teamwork, character diversity, and the overall enjoyment it brings, yet caution against the in-game microtransactions and the company's customer support issues.
Your kids will scream when you let them buy coins then they never appear in your Apex wallet, Microsoft won’t refund and Respawn have no way to contact them. In essence they stole our money
It’s ok for say mature 17 year olds and up…. That’s really all I can say. I don’t particularly agree with kids and teens playing videos games that promote them killing people for entertainment. Changing the settings to exclude blood still doesn’t change the fact that kids are playing a game shooting people…. Let’s look at the statistics of violence among this age group. Why are parents still letting their kids play these games? Absentee parenting is winning…. Makes no sense to me but to each their own.
After 4 years of APEX with thousands of hours, and 20+ years of supporting EA games, if you slur in ranked game chat once then EA will perma-ban you regardless of what you're going through. Soulless, heartless company full of non-understanding greedy corporate utopia believers.
I told support my grandma died last week but they refused to appeal my ban even though my account has only had 3 previous occurrences, spread apart by about a year each. I don't recommend Apex Legends.
Apex Legends: A Balanced Blend of Excitement and Responsible Content
Apex Legends, developed by Respawn Entertainment, offers an exhilarating multiplayer battle royale experience that has captivated gamers worldwide. This fast-paced first-person shooter introduces a unique twist to the genre, delivering engaging gameplay, vibrant visuals, and a strong sense of teamwork.
Apex Legends showcases a relatively mild level of violence, and its depiction of blood is limited to animated red mists that manifest around bullet penetration. The game adopts a stylized approach, focusing more on the intensity of gameplay rather than explicit gore or graphic imagery. The visual representation of blood is animated and does not depict realistic blood splatters or excessive brutality. This artistic choice ensures that the violence in Apex Legends remains within a moderate and animated context, appealing to a wider range of players while maintaining an exciting gaming experience.
Apex Legends does not contain explicit sexual content or nudity. While the character designs for some female characters may incorporate curvy body shapes, as seen in many games, the game does not feature any overtly sexual or suggestive scenes.
As with any online game, Apex Legends allows for voice communication between players, which can occasionally involve explicit speech or conversations. While the majority of players engage in friendly and respectful interactions, there is always a possibility of encountering individuals who may use inappropriate language. It's important to note that the game itself does not promote or endorse such behavior, but rather provides a platform for players to communicate. If you are concerned about the potential impact on your children, it's understandable that you may choose not to include voice communication in the gaming experience. By doing so, you can help ensure a safer and more positive gaming experience for them.
Apex Legends does not portray heavy drug usage within the game. While there are healing syringes available for players to use when their health is low, they are depicted solely as a means of health restoration and not as explicit representations of drug consumption. Additionally, one character in the game may appear to rely on syringes to enhance their movement speed, but this is portrayed in a fantastical and exaggerated manner that does not explicitly reference drug use. Apex Legends maintains a focus on the strategic gameplay elements and the unique abilities of its characters, ensuring that any references to healing or enhanced abilities are presented within a fictional and non-explicit context.
Apex Legends places a strong emphasis on teamwork, which can offer valuable educational and team-building experiences. The game encourages players to collaborate, communicate, and coordinate their actions effectively with teammates in order to achieve victory. This cooperative aspect fosters important skills such as strategic thinking, coordination, problem-solving, and effective communication. Players must learn to work together, leverage their individual strengths, and support each other to succeed in the fast-paced and challenging gameplay. By promoting teamwork, Apex Legends can provide players with an engaging and educational environment that cultivates essential skills for collaboration and team building, both in the game and in real-life situations.
Apex Legends is commendable for its inclusion of diverse characters from various backgrounds, serving as positive role models for players. The game features a wide range of characters with unique abilities, personalities, and cultural identities. This diversity allows players to connect with and appreciate characters from different backgrounds, fostering a sense of representation and inclusivity. By featuring characters of different races, ethnicities, genders, and abilities, Apex Legends promotes diversity and encourages players to embrace and respect different perspectives. These diverse role models can inspire players and contribute to a more inclusive and accepting gaming community, promoting empathy and understanding among players of all backgrounds.
In conclusion, Apex Legends stands as a game that strikes a balance between exciting gameplay and responsible content. With its stylized depiction of violence, absence of explicit sexual content, and avoidance of heavy drug portrayals, the game maintains a level of appropriateness for various audiences. Apex Legends offers an immersive and enjoyable gaming experience that values both entertainment and responsible content.
This game does actually teach you to stay positive through things, but... CMS said there was no swearing, but there is, Octane says words like “hell” and “damn” and sometimes they replace the f word with other words, instead of saying “f—k this up” but there is also violence too, and every time you shoot someone, blood goes everywhere, and it sprays red clouds and stuff
it’s basically fortnite but if you added realism. apart from fortnite, these characters are obviously not fully human. they’re superhumans or even.. robots. which of course isn’t realistic but they’re human looking so.. yes. of course there’s gun violence but the guns used are futuristic looking and blood mist appears and vanishes later on. no lingering blood.
it’s definitely a teen game. both my 17 and 14 year old enjoy this game. if you’re gonna let a younger kid play this game, i’d recommend some parental guidance. Overall, it’s a really fun shooter game.
My child who is 13 asked me for apex at first I said no until I took a further look into the game it does have blood but it’s very small and you can barely see it .The game does have voice that but can easily be turned off in the settings so my personal opinion is that apex is ok for early teens with voice chat off
