Twenty-one passengers were injured when a Citybus airport bus smashed into a road divider on Thursday in Cheung Sha Wan.
Twelve women and nine men aged between 10 and 72 suffered minor injuries, police told HKFP on Friday. They were taken to Kwong Wah Hospital, Princess Margaret Hospital and Caritas Medical Centre – all were conscious.
The double-decker A22 service hit a divider at an off-ramp for Stonecutters Bridge at around 12:30pm, when it was travelling along the West Kowloon Highway on the way to the airport.
Dashcam footage shared online appears to show the bus drifting towards the exit divider. Local media showed images of bloodied passengers, and severe damage to the front of the bus, including a smashed windscreen.
The 23-year-old driver sustained head and limb injuries. He was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, police said.
