Farewell, Doctor.
I have decided to step down from voicing Hirose in Tetro BLUE.
To be clear, all my lines are done. Should Von decide to keep using them throughout the rest of BLUE, there’s nothing I can do to stop that. However, I will not be participating in any Student Spotlights or any future appearances of the character (if there is any).
My reason for this is simple: A source I trust has confirmed to me that Von has utilized AI in her art for Tetro. I have spoken very openly about my disdain for genAI usage and to say I’m upset finding this out would be an understatement. I have made it clear that any AI usage is grounds for me to leave a project and well…here we are. Outside of the AI usage, I have personally experienced unprofessional behavior from Von on several occasions and have considered leaving many times as a result. The only thing that kept me staying were the friends I made within the cast that I am equally upset for. Some of these things include a failure to disclose the project as unpaid, many emotional outbursts directed toward the cast and crew, and poor treatment of VAs within the cast.
More than anything, however, I feel betrayed. I spent nearly a year recording for this series. I love Hirose. I love his story. I loved every minute of recording for him. But now I can’t look at any moment I recorded without feeling disgusted. Because how much of the dialogue that I put so much of myself into performing was written by someone and how much of it was shat out of a machine? I genuinely can’t look at any of my work on this series with even the slightest bit of pride. It’s very deflating and extremely depressing.
I will not be promoting Tetro going forward. I will not include it on my resume and I will be removing my videos about it from my channel. The only exceptions to this will be the livestreams I did with the voice actors.
I’d like to take this time to thank the fans who have been an absolute joy and the cast members who’ve been amazing to work with and talk to outside the project. If nothing else, I’m grateful for all the friends I got to make on this project and I genuinely hope that I get to work with all these incredible VAs in the future. Because quite frankly, if the talent in Tetro was anywhere, it was in its incredible cast. With that, I’m ready to move on.

Jazzy, I do not use Tumblr at all, but I'm so sorry for you and the other voice actors. I was excited to see you in Blue due to me being an II fan for 12+ years, My heart breaks at hearing how a lot of the VAs were treated in a series I used to love. You deserved so much better, and I'm so sorry. I'll continue to support you in the future, but I'm sorry that you and other voice actors were treated like this.

This sucks being your first fangan experience... You deserve so much better, and a lot of us feel cheated and betrayed alongside you. I hope that everyone who worked alongside Von can find better work in the future with people that actually respect creative talent.

This isn’t really something anyone wanted tetro to become from the start, but the signs have been there for a while now and this past week and a half or so have just been a crescendo into its final moments as a series, with today being the fever pitch. Honestly the big thing keeping me down is the VAs. Especially the tetro white VAs who we may never know, they were cast, excited about their roles in such a big project. Excited to debut after the popularity of pink. And then everything just got worse and worse and now the series is all but cancelled before they ever got to even speak a line to the audience… it’s genuinely genuinely sad but.. what Von has done lead to this. She made her bed, now she’s gotta lie in it. It’s just unfortunate so many talented creatives had to suffer from it aswell
I am so sorry for what you and the rest of the cast had to go through, jazzy. your role as hirose, your dedication to the project while it was still around and your love for the friends you met there was very clear from how you interacted with the fangan's content. Its a shame that all of this came from such a toxic and unprofessional place. i hope you stay well and that things heal for the other VAs as well soon !! take care

I hope your doing okay, Jazzy. I've become a fan of yours because of Tetro (sadly) and it's a shame to see such great talent like yours go to waste because the creator wanted to use stuff that was created from bolts and screws. Again, I'm deeply sorry Jazzy. I hope your next projects go amazingly well, and you get treated with the respect you actually deserve as a VA.

I’m so so sorry this happend to you, I am in a group of people trying to rewrite tetro without Ai usage I hope that you know the whole fandom appreciates you and will try to do your character justice in a redo of the story
Jazzy… I’m so sorry this happened D: . As someone who very much hates AI, I understand your frustration and reasoning behind leaving this project. Please, please, please do not force yourself to do a lot right now if it is straining you emotionally & mentally. I haven’t gone much into this fandom, but just from all the videos and fanarts Ive seen- it is obvious this is hard for you. Hopefully it all goes well, Jazzy, wishing you the best!
I am very disappointed to see this out of a fandom I had loved for so long. Recently, I have been slowly waning away because of the use of AI. Frankly, I feel betrayed by it. Tetro is something I had loved for so long and had brung me so much joy, but this makes me feel sick. It was a great time to be in this fandom, but I do not stand for this. I am so glad that a quite large voice actor in the series has spoken up about it and cut ties. I will continue to support you jazzy, you are a phenomenal voice actor and I love your work. I guess it’s time to get into ii again!
