I find it's usually kind of 50/50. Some neckbeards and fedorawarriors put women on a pedestal and throw in with everything that could make them look pro-woman which includes hating on GamerGate. They just want to save m'lady.

Others legitimately despise women--or at the least adopt an MRA persona--and are contemptuous of even the slightest hint of feminism. You know, the same kinds of guys who run that MGTOW subreddit.
