I am one. Only knew about strikes before this comic, went back to news, turns out Trump pulled on Maduro what Putin had wanted to do on Zelensky in his three-day special operation.
I think Venezuela so far a lot easier target. US helicopters feel comfortable in the capital - no casualties. I have no idea why Maduro was not in bunker immediately after invasion.
I mean, look at the Iraq. There was a war at least, Hussein was playing hide and seek for some time.
Ukraine has reconnaissance support from US, NATO equipment, and decentralized decision-making centers. If Zelensky was caught, probably Ukraine would continue fighting - Ukrainians are strong people.
About three hours to capture/kidnap the leader and first lady of Venezuela. Russia is on year 4 of still trying to find Zelensky.
Zelensky. The guy literally goes to the frontline and rizzes all the ladies in the world and then inspires us with words of peace and strength on the new year.
Ok, hear me out, what if Maduro got in an agreement with Trump that he will let them kidnap him, but will have his safety guaranteed.
In exchange, the Venezuelan army would not fight back (Trump couldn't afford any US soldiers casualties) and they'd let US fire rockets in the capital for no apparent reason other than show of force.
This is a very poor comparison, because the US ended up shooting something, bombing something somewhere, and the only thing they definitely achieved was the capture of Maduro and his wife (judging by the strange news reports; perhaps they were simply sold for a large sum of money).
There was:
no carpet bombing,
no storming of coasts or cities,
no civic hostages,
no ethnic cleansing,
no destruction of infrastructure and cities to the point that they simply ceased to exist...
and so on.
Venezuela has not ceased to exist simply because its leader (who most countries do not really recognize anyway) has been captured.

But the comic is still funny 😁
Losing your president without even managing to fight back is pretty sad
It’s like Operation Just Cause but way easier
I guess it really was a 20-minute adventure
oh wow someone finally split their comic into a gallery of panels like they do on r/comics nowadays

Think he's the reincarnation of Rasputin or a descendant?

My man is on a list now, saving this comment for later
There are rumors of that going around right now.
