Lee confirmed his recovery in a Facebook post on Sunday. Lee tested positive for the virus after returning from the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Thailand a week ago.

Lee’s weekly press briefing was cancelled last Tuesday. However, his Facebook post said he would be back at work at 9 a.m. on Monday, adding that he has a blue QR code in his LeaveHomeSafe tracing app allowing him to move around the city freely.

Hospital chief in isolation

Meanwhile, the Hospital Authority Chairperson Henry Fan is undergoing isolation after testing positive for Covid-19, the government said in a press release on Sunday.

“He wore masks and followed relevant infection control measures. He has no recent travel history,” the statement said.

The Director of Leisure and Cultural Services Vincent Liu is also undergoing quarantine after testing positive on Saturday.

As of Sunday night, the city has seen 2.09 million cases and 10,692 Covid-19 deaths since the onset of the pandemic, according to the government’s online dashboard.
