For any of you who intend to play on the Xbox app like me (either on PC or the console itself later), the table also works for that version if you edit the <script> where it says:
aobscanmodule(playtime_aob,Octopath_Traveler0-Win64-Shipping.exe,89 9F 70 04 00 00 48 3B,"+X-W")

Replace the "Win64" part with "WinGDK" and it should allow you to check the mark to freeze the timer.

No. There are Story Locks, i completed the entire demo after 7-ish hours.

It's definitely not his table. I could be wrong, but I think I saw an item that, when placed in your town, prevents xp gain? I got it from Nomos's place if I'm not mistaken.
