Large Tree Falls On Home Causing Significant Damage Wednesday Afternoon

A large tree fell on a Chattanooga home Wednesday afternoon, causing significant damage. The Chattanooga Fire Department Engine 4 Red Shift was dispatched at 2 p.m. to a structural collapse of a residence with possible entrapment in the 2000 block of Daisy Street off Dodson Avenue. A large tree had fallen and caused extensive damage to the side of the home. E4 personnel entered the house and found one person in a bedroom who needed assistance exiting the home. Firefighters gathered their medications and personal items. The crew performed a quick search and found no one else inside. A city building inspector was called to the scene, along with EPB.
