NüVoices is a worldwide initiative gathering veteran and emerging writers, journalists, translators and artists to highlight the diverse creative work of women working on the subject of China today.

The collective is working on its first anthology to showcase work from women on China. It will also host events and chat forums in different cities worldwide to create a large, supportive community that includes male colleagues.

NüVoices has also compiled a directory of nearly 500 female experts on Greater China — a popular tool for journalists and event organisers which has significantly boosted women and minorities’ representation in media and conference programming.

In addition to an upcoming print anthology, the NüVoices website will regularly publish essays, articles, multimedia projects and other original content.

To celebrate the launch of the collective in Hong Kong, NüVoices is hosting a party at Naked Hub in Sai Ying Pun.

  • Date: Thursday, May 31
  • Time: 7-9pm
  • Tickets: HK$100 free flow and snacks
  • Place: naked HUB, 5 – 13 New Street, Sai Ying Pun
