The tram will be running between Whitty Street and North Point from December 8 to January 7 on a daily basis. The exhibition’s start date coincides with Human Rights Day on Sunday.

It will be layered with portraits inspired by French artist JR’s large-format street pastings.

The groups behind the project, the Hong Kong Contemporary Art Foundation and independent art project We Are Here, hope to reveal untold stories of Hong Kong’s refugee community and strengthen diversity.

The project is part of the global Inside Out Project and was crowdfunded. Inside Out is a participatory art project which invites people to paste their portraits around cities across the world to make a statement about what they stand for.
