King Yin Lei is an early 20th century luxury mansion which not only bore witness to the growing wealth and rising status of the Chinese community before the Second World War, but also represents an earlier phase of Hong Kong history in which a Chinese upper-class residential area took shape in Mid-Levels.
The Stubbs Road property has four open days a year – photographer Supreet Kaur came across the opportunity to visit during an open day in 2017.
Supreet is an intrepid traveller and photographer. A consumer strategy and brand building specialist by profession, her career has taken her from India to Myanmar to Vietnam and Hong Kong.
