The Observatory downgraded the tropical cyclone signal to no. 1 at 10:40pm on Sunday, as winds from Typhoon Khanun weakened.

“With Khanun continuing to depart from Hong Kong and weaken gradually, winds over Hong Kong will subside further. Occasional strong winds are still affecting the southwestern part of Hong Kong. Public should remain on the alert,” the Observatory said.
