Migrant worker groups rallied in Causeway Bay on Sunday ahead of International Women’s Day.
The protesters, mostly domestic workers, demanded an end to the “live in” rule which forces them to live with employers, as well as a rise in their minimum wage to HK$5,000.

Some held banners opposed to US President Donald Trump. One group, Socialist Action, accused him of having a “sexist, racist and Islamophobic agenda.”

Protesters will gather at Chater Garden, Central at 7pm on Wednesday for an International Women’s Day anti-Trump rally. Demonstrators will march to the nearby US consulate.
