As of 9:45am, northern Lantau and northern and western New Territories recorded more than 10 millimeters of rainfall in the last hour. But the Observatory expects rainfall exceeding 30 millimeters in some areas within an hour.

Rainy weather is expected to continue until Saturday, affected by a trough of low pressure in southern China. Hot weather is expected to return next Wednesday.
