Chief executive candidate and retired judge Woo Kwok-hing was involved in a minor car accident on Friday evening. No injuries were reported.

The accident took place at Queen’s Road East in Wan Chai near the Queen Elizabeth Stadium at around 7pm, Apple Daily reported. Woo was on his way to a private meeting along with his daughter and two campaign staff.

A police spokesperson told HKFP that the parties involved had settled privately and no one was injured in the accident.

A dumpster truck changed lanes and crashed into the right side of Woo’s car, according to the report. His car was visibly damaged.

Woo told the paper that he was sitting in the front-passenger seat and felt that the car was being lifted. He said he might need to take the MTR over the next few days while his car was being repaired.

“I’m fine. Don’t worry,” he said.

Woo remained at the scene after the accident to assist police.
