As we all know, New Year’s Eve belongs to Scotland. The country is synonymous with the annual knees-up, so how better to honour the Scots than to celebrate Hogmanay eight hours before they do?

Bid farewell to dreaded 2016 this Saturday with the Hong Kong Highlanders at the South Pacific Hotel.

Expect lots of Atholl Brose, pipes and Scottish Country Dancing to the live music of Fred Moyes.

Fred Moyes was born in Perthshire and emigrated in 1969 to Canada where he worked as a university professor and singer of satirical songs.

He took up playing for Scottish Country Dancing in 1989 and has since performed in Canada, the US, Japan, Germany, England and Scotland. He has also featured regularly in the RSCDS Summer School at St Andrews.

Kick-off is 7pm, December 31, at the South Pacific Hotel, 23 Morrison Hill Road, Causeway Bay. Tickets include buffet dinner, free wine, beer and soft drinks all evening.
