A fundraiser will be held in Hong Kong on Friday in aid of US Democratic Party presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton. It will be hosted by her campaign CFO Gary Gensler.
Clinton, along with her family and staff, is spending much of April fundraising for her primary campaign against Senator Bernie Sanders.
The event is only open to U.S. citizens at US$2,700 (HK$20,940) a head.
The two candidates will face off in the New York primaries on April 19 for 247 delegates, with Clinton holding a 14 point lead over Sanders as of this week in the New York polls. Clinton, currently with 1,758 delegates, holds a lead of 689 over Sanders’ 1,069. Currently there are 1,938 delegates available to be won from the primaries, with 2,383 total delegates needed to secure the Democratic nomination.
The U.S. presidential election of 2016 has been scheduled for November 8.
