Oscar Ma, a tutor at Beacon College who allegedly engaged in a sexual relationship with a student, has been suspended from his job. He will also be investigated by a committee of three appointed by the tuition school, it said in a statement published at around 2am on Tuesday.

In a post on the forum HKGolden, the student claimed that they had engaged in a sexual relationship before he blocked her on Whatsapp.

She posted video on YouTube on Monday allegedly showing conversations between Ma and her, with Ma apparently making requests for sex.

“I’m really scared right now, I’m so scared I’m shaking,” she said. She also posted conversation screenshots from Facebook and Whatsapp on social media.

In a separate video, Ma denied on Monday that he has had any relationships with students.

He said that he has reported the case to the police.

The three appointees are Lam Cho-shun, CEO of the popular forum HKGolden, Chiu Chi-yeung, the founder of Aixton Group Limited, as well as Chan Wai-shun, a lecturer of Global Studies at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

June Leung Ho-kei, one of the founders of Beacon College, who had previously supported Ma, said that the school decided to hold in investigation because convincing information had surfaced online.

The school has said that they will make a preliminary decision about the case in a few days, and Ma will be suspended until the investigation concludes.
