A woman helped with the arrest of a man who allegedly injured two women on Tuesday morning, by following him while staying on the line with the police.
The woman followed the attacker for 600 metres to Long Ping Estate, where police arrested the 39-year-old man, Apple Daily reported. Police officers also found a utility knife at the scene.
Four women – three sisters and their niece – were walking past a bookstore on On Ning Road when the suspect allegedly attacked them with a knife before fleeing. One of the sisters and the niece were injured. A doctor from a nearby clinic applied first aid to the pair, who were later sent to the hospital.

CCTV records from a nearby store captured footage of a man walking away from the scene. The sister of the injured woman told Apple Daily that they did not know the man and said the attack showed that public order in the area is unruly.
