The Hong Kong Federation of Trade Unions organised a protest in support of Hong Kong Police on Sunday. They condemned violence of the rioters and the separatist agenda, and voiced their concern over how violence and riots might affect their livelihood. Their protest came 13 days after the Mong Kok unrest which injured 90 police officers.
“Protect Hong Kong together. Everyone against violence. Guard Hong Kong. Punish rioters, give us back our law and order,” the banner said.
“Supporting the police to punish rioters.”
“Local indigenous separation harms both country and citizens,” said a banner made by the Hong Kong Confederation of Trade Unions.
“Even the Buddha is angry.”
The Hong Kong Federation of Trade Unions with banners against violence in support of peace, home, and law and order.
The Hong Kong Union of Chinese Workers in Western Style Employment was also present at the protest.
Hotels, Food and Beverage Employees Association was also present at the protest against violence.
“Strongly condemn violence that destroys HKSAR law and order and society’s peace.”
