Local brewery Moonzen announced on Monday that it will be leaving its current premises.
“Now is the time to say goodbye… a part of us will live here forever,” it said on Facebook. It also asked experienced brewers in Hong Kong interested in buying their equipment to contact them.
The brewery, which occupies a 1,400 square-foot space at Kwun Tong, was founded by Hong Kong-born Michele Raphael and her Mexican husband Laszlo Raphael.
Retraction: An earlier version of this article misreported that Moonzen Brewery was set to close after the brewery made announcements on Facebook saying goodbye and asking for buyers interested in their equipment to contact them. Moonzen posted a clarification on Tuesday evening stating: “As you might’ve already read, we are closing our doors… to our small brewery, and getting ready for another new door opening! We are sorry to have made you worry and also want to thank you all for your concern and best wishes.”
