Lost in Transitions Writer’s Prompt: New Year’s Resolutions

New Year’s (R)evolution

My Trans Agenda For 2026

2025 was a year of setbacks. My dad died and grieving took precedence to some of my plans. A fascist got elected and fear took precedence to more of my plans. I found out I was severely under-dosed on my hormones and that augmented even more of my plans.

I’d hazard to call 2025 a lost year because I did get some stuff accomplished. I finally got my girl juice levels dialed in. I got an orchi to shut off the testosterone factory, well maybe shut off is not quite right, more like bulldozing, burning the rubble, then burying it, and sowing the field with new hopes and dreams. I started electrolysis on my face. Oh, and I also changed my legal name, which was no small feat. Wow, that’s actually a lot now that I lay it all out. Next year though…next year will be the one.

I have a set of transition goals as far as things that affect my appearance. I’ve told my therapist that 2026 is the year of hair. I plan to continue electrolysis, I did just start and it seems to be working so far with no ill effects on my skin. It will probably be well into the following year before I’m done but the bulk of it should be done by this time next year.
