Police raided two marijuana farms in village houses in Yuen Long on Thursday, arresting two men. More than 300 cannabis plants were found.

Detectives from the police’s New Territories crime unit searched a house in Lo Uk Tsuen, Pat Heung after receiving a tip-off, according to Apple Daily. A total of 276 marijuana plants as well as some farming tools were confiscated. Two men, 34 and 56, were taken away.

Police later took one of the suspects back to his house in Lung Kwu Tan and found another 64 plants.

Police said the cannabis was worth about HK$530,000.
