A 2-year old boy was crushed by a SUV in Zhengzhou, Henan last Friday as his mother was playing on her phone, mainland media reported. The boy was pronounced dead on the scene.

The accident took place in the carpark west of New World Department Store, which is at the junction of Zijingshan Road and Shangcheng Road. There were blood splatters everywhere and the mother was seen crying uncontrollably.

Eyewitnesses said that the mother was playing on her phone when the boy ran to the front wheel of the vehicle. At the time of the accident, there were two men and a woman on the vehicle. The tragedy struck as the white jeep was pulling out from its parking spot.
