A group of Chinese kindergarten children have wowed Chinese audiences with their “basketball dance”.

They performed on a national talent show called Amazing Chinese, which is broadcast weekly on the state run CCTV-1 channel.

The programme is based on the ‘Got Talent’ format, where the three adjudicators give contestants a thumbs up in recognition of their performance.

The toddlers were from the “No.1 Kindergarten of Ningbo Municipal Government Organisation” – they had an average age of six.

Despite a few slip-ups, the children performed remarkably well and in perfect synchronisation.

A video has also surfaced showing the children performing at a practice session.

Internet users in mainland China were impressed by their exceptional performance.

One user said on the Weibo microblogging site that he was “amazed” by the children’s dancing.

Other Chinese toddlers have also previously showcased their skills on national television. Last year, a 3-year-old boy appeared on the same programme and amazed judges with his cute dancing moves.
